Things I’m grateful for or that made me feel good today:
- Something that came to me while doing Fregair at 1:15AM - I want to treat my mind as a temple.
- I’ve moved up to #4 in the Google search results.
- Getting lots of ideas regarding the temple idea.
- Hot coffee.
- This is the third reuse of the coffee filter paper, and it’s still going strong.
- I have so many things to be grateful for.
- Doing Fregair last night.
- Listening to Jim Croce.
- Nat’s veg box yesterday had some nice stuff in it - garlic, apples, potatoes, broad beans, peaches, broccoli and the biggest lettuce I’ve ever seen. It’s 11″ long, and 19″ round.
- 10k@3s.
- Remembering to do the 10k.
- A lovely hot shower.
- Some breakfast cereals.
- It looks like I’m finally going to get to reinstall Windows.

- Which I now have.
All went smoothly. There are a couple of installers that aren’t working exactly right, but it’s a very minor issue. - Have been reading You Can’t Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought today, specifically the part about positive focusing. This is where you focus your attention on positive things, instead of imagining good things. You are aware of all the good stuff that is happening right now in your life, instead of pretending to yourself that life is really wonderful when you don’t actually feel that it is. This is what I aim to do with this blog. I focus on the friends I do have, and the good times I have with them, while hoping and desiring to increase those good times, instead of imagining myself surrounded with friends I don’t actually have, having good times I’m not actually having. Short of constantly living in a dream world, at some point in time you have to come back to reality, and realise that you don’t have these things. If you had them, you wouldn’t be trying to visualise them into existence. You’d be too busy enjoying them. Anyway, the book explains it in way better detail than I ever could.
- Have fed and watered the pot plants. I’m really looking forward to seeing the Streptocarpus flower again.
- Synchronicity - earlier today, I was musing on those tubes of wafer with chocolate in them. Mom has bought some in from her shopping expedition.
- I’ve been burning my vanilla soy candle, and it smells really nice.
- Hot dogs for tea. With onions - yum!

- Have just requested a free sample of Calvin Klein in2u.
- And some free coffee from Oxfam.
- Listened to Paul McKenna.
- And also Alice Peacock.
- Spoke to Rani when she came out of work.
- I’m trying something new with my hair - washing it less. Inspired by this thread on INEBG, I’m rinsing it every day, but only washing it on the days when I’m in work. I’ve been doing it for a few days now, and it’s not looking too bad. My flaking scalp is also almost completely non-existent!
San is cutting my hair on Tuesday of next week in exchange for me fixing her bath panel, which I’m quite looking forward to. - Eating a sweet, crunchy, organic apple, and sipping some herbal tea while reading the INEBG thread mentioned above. Look out for the shampoo called “minge”.
Things I want to manifest:
- Many more thoughts on treating my mind as a temple. MANIFESTING.
- More specific thoughts about what form the daily attention to the Temple should take. MANIFESTING.
- A game plan for the Temple.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Did Rani a couple of disks.
- Chatted to Shaun for a bit.
- Got some music for dad.
