Tuesday 26th June
Things I’m grateful for or that made me feel good today:
- 10k@3s. Making a difference already.
- The DL is nearly done.
- Getting up early.
- Weird dreams in the night about Mal and Wash.
- Not buying something I don’t need.
- Fig rolls.
- Dell have just called. They are going to deliver my monitor between 8 and 12 tomorrow. Perfect!
It’s going to be so cool to hook the new monitor up and get some power readings off it. It’s also going to be cool to pass this behemoth off to someone else who can make good use of it. - Remembering that “it takes a lot of sh*t to grow the best roses”.
- A restoring hot shower.
- Making plans to go to the cash point so I don’t have to use my card at the petrol station. I love that my brain is able to make plans like this. It sounds simple, planning to go here to do this, then go there to do that, but I’d be totally messed up without it.
- I remembered just as I was leaving the house to tale my cashpoint card with me.

- I got my hair cut for free.
- Getting fuel was simple.
- Saw Rani at work.
- Sandra’s job was a lot easier than I expected. All I had to do was recut a piece for the side of the bath, and glue the trims back on.
- The batteries in the mouse failed a few days ago, on the 24th, so I’ve put the new one’s in. Free energy for a month. Every bit helps.
- Being able to have a hot shower to wash the hair trimmings off myself.
- I have some cash on hand for necessary bits.
- I’m being more aware of my money. I’m trying to split things up into wants, really wants and needs. Needs are things like clothes, shelter, food, etc. Basics for human survival. Really wants are things like the monitor, and some more coffee, fuel for the car, etc. Wants are things like DVD’s that I’d like to have, but don’t really need at all.
- The greenfly infestation on the Streptocarpus seems to have died off.

- My houseplants are looking lovely in the bright sunshine.
- I have clean bed linens. I’m going to love getting into bed tonight.
- I love that I’m finding loads of much more simple pleasures.
- Listening to Sis rant about her colleagues at work. I don’t know why it made me feel good, but perhaps it’s to do with some kind of kinship?
- Being aware of the difference between a full and empty stomach. I’m talking about the different sensations. I think for some time now I’ve been confusing the two.
- I’ve been off work all day. Mind you, work isn’t that bad right now. I’m getting some quite good shifts.
- Realising that I don’t really want to join a club I used to belong to. My subscription is coming to an end, and I don’t think I want to renew it. I can spend the money on something else. Or even save it.
- There’s nothing planned for the evening meal. So I don’t have to eat if I don’t want to.
- Exercising restraint when faced with the prospect of a “treat” of greasy food. I think this is the first time I’ve had this control. I hope it develops more, and gets better. I found it very useful.
- I’ve not been affected by the flooding that’s been so bad just recently.
- Chocolate snackajacks.
- Chatting with Nit.
- Catching a nap while listening to a meditation tape.
- I ground my remaining coffee beans earlier. I have a couple of days worth left.
- Which shouldn’t be a problem, because I’ve bought 500g of coffee off ebay. 5 different flavours. Can’t wait for them to arrive.
- The Chorus Line has flowered.
- Realising that its not too late to put the sheets on the bed, seeing as I probably wont sleep until about 2am.
- Andy J texted me to see how I am.
- I’m not in until 12 tomorrow, and I’m on lates with Shaun.
- I realised something today - when my brain starts bringing up other ideas and concepts related to the one I’m thinking about, it tends to go for the next nearest thing to the one I’m thinking about, and so on.
Things I want to manifest:
- A good time with Sandra. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Responded to a few threads on various forums.
