Things I’m grateful for or that made me feel good today:

1. Hot showers.
2. Hot tea.
3. Breakfast cereals and cold milk.
4. I have the whole day off work.
5. The little walk up the garden I had while I waited for the kettle to boil.
6. I’ve set a photograph I took of the Hemerocallis as my desktop wallpaper. It looks really really nice.
7. I’m meeting up with the French later.
8. I’m really proud of my origami duck.
9. I have a full tank of fuel in my car.
10. Firefly fanfic.
11. Ye gods I have Resonation today. First day of the new blog. 3 lines written, and already it feels like home. Smilies aren’t enough.
12. Pants and socks in my drawer.
13. I had a nice slow drive to the French, behind a very slow waggon. Normally I’d have to push my car to it’s limits along that particular stretch of road and waste a load of fuel, but today was fine.
14. I’ve been seeing plants all day. Well, noticing them more than usual. I’ve seen some beautiful Cotinus’s and a nice Sambucus.
15. Green & Black’s chocolate, and some organic cola, with my lunch.
16. Hot coffee.
17. Missed an accident on the way back.
18. Had a nice drive round to the garden centre, where the French finally got his Cercis! For a discount too.
19. Gave the French the origami duck I made yesterday.
20. I’m quite sure now that the hydrangea cuttings have rooted. I’ve just given them a not so gentle tug and they haven’t moved. I might repot them on Saturday.
21. I haven’t had to fetch Natalie’s car today.

24. Laughing with Nat about her inability to put up a tent.
25. Laughing with Nat while singing along to “It’s a hard knock life” in German, according to the subtitles on the TV.
26. Having the dog on the bed with us while watching it. She was lying on her back between us.
27. I’m not in until 12 tomorrow.
28. A nicely tired feeling.
29. I’ve cleared out some old photos from my Photobox account, and ordered a set of 5 prints of the dog to give myself some extra space for the Hemerocallis ones.
30. I’ve discovered that the maximum resolution Flickr allows is 1024×768. No good for me. I want them to be exactly the same when i download as when I upload.
