Things I’m grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:

  1. I’m off work all day. banana
  2. Hot coffee.
  3. Breakfast cereals.
  4. Wenna is learning to lie down on my bed, instead of trying to climb onto my desk.
  5. I’ve descaled my coffee maker this morning, even though it didn’t really need it. I use a Brita filter to filter all the water I put into it, and it really does make a difference.
  6. Lovefilm have sent me another 2 disks. The turnaround time on the DVD’s is pretty good, and the free trial is even better. mrgreen
  7. Hot showers.
  8. I am overflowing with money.
  9. I’ve decided to continue with the list of things that a good about my body. I might even post it on here when I’m done.
  10. Wenna is starting to accept me as the Alpha. I’ve been giving her treats for good behaviour on my bed - lying down, keeping still and such. Usually she’ll latch on to someone and follow them around. Today, I called her onto my bed and she got up and lay down straight away, so I gave her a treat. Later on, I went to fetch something off the landing, and she just lay on the bed. Normally she’d be off the bed as soon as I pushed my chair back. She hadn’t moved when I got back to my room. A few minutes later, she was asleep, and I left to pop to the loo. She did jump off the bed this time, but I ignored her, and when I came back from the bathroom she was lying on the bed again. Success! broccoli
  11. Setting up the Azureus Web interface. It’s going to help a lot when I’m out and about. Like, tonight, I’m going to see the French, and there are some torrents I want off UKNova, but I’m still not 100% sure about the RSS feed thing, so I’m going to use the interface to check on the torrents on the French’s PC.
  12. Uploading some photographs onto Photobox.
  13. I’ve been paid back by another $4 on Kiva.org. banana
  14. I’ve just had a shower. I woke Wenna up before I went, and I heard her get off the bed behind me, but she didn’t follow me onto the landing, and she didn’t have to go in front of me like last time, when she woke up to me leaving the room.
  15. I’m looking into setting up Firefox on my thumbdrive.
  16. Setting up Firefox and Roboform on my thumbdrive. I’ve set up a 155 character password for the Azureus web interface, and there’s no way I’m going to remember it all. mrgreen
  17. Walkers Sunbites. They’re delicious.
  18. I just went downstairs to make a cup of tea, and Wenna jumped off the bed, and followed me across the landing. I carried on downstairs, made the drink and came back up. Wenna was lying at the top of the stairs looking down. Normally she’d be in the kitchen with me. She’s also doing things like scratching and chewing at her fleas, which is a good sign that she’s relaxed. She can take care of her own needs.
  19. Wenna is downstairs, lying on the chair, and I’m upstairs on the PC. It’s been this way for about 20 minutes. broccoli
  20. Wenna has now learned that if she does follow me downstairs, she waits on the landing and then gets invited into my room.
  21. Paid off my cards.
  22. Did some writing.
  23. Chinese for tea. Chicken chow mein, chips, sesame prawn toasts and BBQ sauce. Mmmm.
  24. I’m off work tomorrow.
  25. Listening to Lani Nash. And getting some more of her songs.
  26. I’m actually quite healthy.
  27. The chinese was here really quickly.
  28. The people who let me out in traffic. Every time someone looses me out in traffic, I think that I must list it on here, but being the scatterbrain that I am sometimes, I tend to forget.
  29. More hot tea.
  30. A nice refreshing nap after my tea.

  32. Getting the chocolates I asked for.
  33. Knowing that it’s not up to me to succeed tonight. It’s up to the French. All I have to do is turn up, and care.
  34. Realising that sometimes it’s time to cut your losses, and just move on. And that doing that, even when you don’t feel like it, is the mark of an adult.
  35. The dialling in I did today from the French’s PC with UltraVNC and the Azureus Web interface worked perfectly.
  36. The thumbdrive works really well.
  37. I’ve seen a couple of films I’d like to see - “Stardust” and “Elektra”.
