Things I’m Grateful For on Friday 25 January

Things I’m grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:

  1. Hot coffee.
  2. That I’m courageous enough to consider addressing the issue with the miniboss. Not because I want to stay and deal with her, but for my own peace of mind. That I’m suddenly strong enough to look out for my own happiness, welfare and well-being. Because lets face it, nobody else is going to do it for me, are they?
  3. My bed. I was lovely and warm last night.
  4. Having a sort of lie in.
  5. Wenna. She’s very excited this morning, for some reason.
  6. Amanda Marshall. Dark Horse.
  7. The flatness didn’t last very long at all.
  8. I’ve been paid back by another $6 on Kiva.org. I’m now at $205.
  9. A nice warm shower.
  10. Breakfast cereals.
  11. My 2nd batch of Pepsi has arrived. Lets hope this lot tastes better than the previous one.
  12. Safe driving. :chili:
  13. Work went OK.
  14. I sort of faced off to the miniboss. I was working on a till, that had no £5 notes, no £10 notes, 3x £1 coins and 1x £2. That is a ridiculous amount of change to have in a till. One of my colleagues had asked for some change 45 minutes previously. In the end, I was serving on another till for nearly 15 minutes, just so I could put sales through. The miniboss finally came down with some cash, and wanted to know why I was serving on the other till, so I told her why. Little steps. :broccoli: Perhaps it’s just me, but it seems to me that getting customers served comes before everything else in a shop.
  15. Holly. I’ve had a bottle full of this that I’ve been sipping all day, and I’ve needed it. I do feel much better now, and I realise that perhaps my decision to leave was a knee jerk reaction. But I went through this state at my previous job - thinking that things were good, and then they weren’t. I left my previous job because of this. I don’t want to spend the next 6 years thinking the same things and repeating the same mistakes. Life is too short.
  16. Drinking 1L of water.
  17. I’ve been shown what I have to do tomorrow. :dill:
  18. Not having to eat a meal with the family.
  19. Lindor chocolates.
  20. My diet is going quite well indeed. I’m much less hungry much less often. My body is having enough, and then no more. It’s telling me what it wants, and I’m listening to it. For example, today, I’ve eaten some chocolates, a packet of crisps, and a small bowl of muesli. And I’m still not hungry. I suppose I’m getting enough calories from the fat I eat.
  21. I’m earning brownie points by going in to work at 9:30 tomorrow. Which, thinking about it, is later than last Sunday, isn’t it? :cucumber:
  22. Providence reminding me of things I’ve forgotten.
  23. Hot fruit tea.
  24. Being able to drive. Being able to hold down a job.
  25. Not having any addictions like smoking or drinking or drugs. I probably spend too much time on the internet, but it’s not running my life. I’m not going to die from it. I love myself enough to not go down that road.
  26. I found this on this blog.
  27. Getting free products in the post.
  28. Having the guts to tell my boss that I wasn’t going to start work at 8AM. My brain couldn’t get round how early I’d have to get up. Yikes…
  29. The chair I sit on at my computer.
  30. I found Life After People via this blog. Guess what my next purchase is going to be:lol:
  31. See a very cool stop motion animation video at this blog.
  32. I’m not sure what to make of these videos. I’m not sure if it’s just really bad editing, or whether Mountain Dew were looking to be unusual in their marketing strategies. Of well, they’re entertaining nonetheless.
  33. I made 50p on a survey today.
  34. The Blog365 Megafeed. I’ve found some interesting looking stuff on there tonight.
  35. I finished the Tripods Trilogy last night. A very entertaining read. I’m on The First King of Shannara now.
  36. Watching a cool film. It helped that the main character looked an awful lot like my first love. Happy days. :)

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. #7.
  2. This video, found via this blog. What an inspiration!

Things I want to manifest:

  1. Courage. MANIFESTED.
  2. Direction.

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Served lots of customers.
  2. Helped mom wash her hair.

 No, it’s a survey I’m doing. I do surveys online to make a bit of money, and one of them was a taste test of Pepsi. The first batch I had tasted watered down, so I think Pepsi might be trying to cut corners somewhere. I’ve had another batch arrive this morning, so I’m going to drink them and see.

It’s all true. I never thought of promotion at the time, sad to say.

It’s emotional flatness, like apathy. I go through phases of being really excited about ideas, and then being really uninterested in them. I’d noticed a down patch approaching for a few days. Yesterday, at work, though, I got very annoyed by the miniboss, which wasn’t fun in one sense, because I don’t want to be irritated all the time, but it’s good in the sense of feeling alive.

Thank you! :) The chocolates are very nice indeed, sadly. I keep buying and eating them.

Laughter really is one of the most amazing things in life. I’m glad I could share it with you. :)
