Things I’m Grateful For on Saturday 26 January
Things I’m grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- Getting up OK despite the early hour.
- Hot fruit tea to help me wake up.
- Lani Nash.
- I’m off work tomorrow.
- I’m only in until 5:30 today.
- The miniboss isn’t in today.
- A nice warm shower before work.
- Finding I’m missing a piece of wire before I needed it.
- I was actually hungry this morning. As in physical hunger. I haven’t felt physically hungry in ages. In fact, I don’t recall feeling the sensation so far this year. +1 to Paul McKenna
.
- Tumble dryers.
- I should get an hour break at work today.
- Safe driving.
- Work went OK. I had a good laugh with my colleagues today - Chun asked me what 13 plus 1 was, Andrew was explaining how they put enzymes in chocolate, Vicki was OD’ing on chocolates that I kept buying, and sundry other things.
- I’ve been offered extra hours, and free parking. The boss is going to have a word with the miniboss about training me on news, and about her general attitudes, etc.
So I’ll be getting extra hours + more training + I can park on the store car park because I’m going to be working 8 - 5:30, and the parking tickets don’t last that long. And it’s only 4 days a week instead of 5. And I don’t have to worry about Tesco now, because I’m going to be getting a decent wage. And the miniboss will hopefully be changing her demeanour. - I watched the end of the film I started watching last night. Very entertaining.
- Chinese food.
- Not eating too much Chinese food.
- Cold Pepsi.
- Seeing Wenna get excited when I got in from work.
- It’s bath night!
I have some peppermint and eucalyptus bath salts I was given for Xmas that I’m going to use to help clear this slight head cold I have. It’s not really even a cold, just a frog in the throat. This seems as good a time as any to use them. - Seeing Wenna get excited about going for a walk. She does this howling/groaning thing. Very eerie.
- Reading the First King of Shannara. This book is much better than the “first” three. Less jumping around from place to place, and much more dialogue, which I’m finding helps me to get to know the characters better. And I’m thinking “we were somewhere else entirely a paragraph ago” much less. I’m really into this book. I think I might have an early night again, and read this in bed.
- A very nice long hot bath.
- Cool water.
- I’m alive. I’m here to live another day. The gift I give myself every day.
- Lovefilm have sent me another couple of DVD’s. I ought to add some more to my list.
- I’ve drank 1L of water, again with no problem. Having it in a bottle really helps, because I can see how much I have left to get through. It stops it being a chore.
- I haven’t had any coffee today. I bet you all were thinking that I’d had it and forgot to list it. Weren’t you? No? Oh well. Anyway, I was up too early today to make it, and having the Chinese later on, and then the bath, time just got away from me.
- Having lots of interesting blogs to view.
- Having a job list for tomorrow - catch up on films, sort out pile of DVD’s, put brake light on car, tidy room and desk. And do Fregair. And sort the shaver out. And the amfQ.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Ecki.
- My work colleagues.
- Dad went to pick up Nat’s hot chocolate earlier, thinking it was his. On being told that his was in the kitchen, he told Nat “Wenna’ll have her nose in it if you’re not careful,”, to which I replied, “So will you!”.
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick day at work.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Served lots of customers.
- Helped Vicki shift a filing cabinet. Note to self: make sure the drawers are locked shut next time you do this.

Another inspiring list. Thanks.

No problem. I’ve been feeling that the blog is a chore just recently. It’s nice to know that people still appreciate it.

January 27th, 2008 at 1:18 amGot to try these bath salts man! They’ll do more than just clear up your cold. Makes you sweat it all out, which is good for you and you don’t want your cold to grow into something else.
