Tuesday 1 January
Things I’m grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- Not giving up while doing the Yearly Roundup yesterday.
- Alice Peacock.
- I’m off work all day today and tomorrow.
- I’m excited by the thought of cooking some food.
- My bed.
- Having a mini job list.
- 1by1.
- Reading Life 101 last night.
- Getting the HTML sorted.
- Coffee. Delicious.
- Cold milk.
- Having had a good day yesterday.
- My new way of eating is going well.
- Flickr.
- Finally getting my pics from yesterday uploaded to Flickr.
- The close up mode on the camera works quite well.
- Helped cook the dinner.
- The dinner itself was very tasty. Jacket potato (with a smidge of low fat spread and a tiny sprinkle of cheese) with peas, sweetcorn, leeks and crispy chicken.
- I found an extra few inches of cable tucked into the bottom of the steamer, which saved me from having to put a new piece in to make the cable long enough to reach from the plug to the cooker hood.
- The steamer.
- I helped wash up after the meal.
- I’m aware that I don’t need to eat any more for a while.
- Nat has finally used her Kiva Gift Certificate.
- Taking some more photographs. If this isn’t a fad, and if in a months time I’m still taking photographs regularly, I’ll look into getting a tripod.
- I’ve treated myself to a copy of The Tripods by John Christopher. I read these books years ago, and I loved them then.
- I’ve tidied up the clothes pile, and put some more photos on Photobox.
- I feel much better now I have a tidy room again.
- I’ve tidied off the desk, and got the old dead ivy from the bed. I’m glad I put it on, but I don’t think I’ll be bothering in future.
- The pillowcase is finally on the pillow.
- The grippits are on the bed and the duvet cover is on the duvet. Finally!

- Watched Eddie Izzard.
- A health problem that I thought might have been major really isn’t. It’s actually something rather small.
- Watching Jam and Jerusalem.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- lolcats.
- Mom was cooking some chips in the wok on the hob, and she dropped one of the jacket potatoes into the fat. She was trying to coat the potato with a tiny bit of fat to make the skin crispy when put in the oven, but I had this image of us having a fried whole potato for lunch.
- Eddie Izzard.
- Jam and Jerusalem.
Things I want to manifest:
- A good day. MANIFESTED.
- Things off my job list done. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Helped prepare the meal.
- Played at families.
- Washed up after the meal.
- Talked Nat through using her Kiva Gift Certificate.
