Things I’m Grateful For on Friday 22 February
Things I am thankful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- It’s a week until payday.
- Getting 8 hours sleep. It seems that 8 hours is the minimum I need. I’d like to find out how I can mix it up, by getting 2 hours in one set and then 6 in another. That would be a useful trick to know.
- Being able to see. :cucumber:.
- I have a job to go to, which makes me financially solvent. Looking back, when I left school, the thought of getting a job petrified me. Now, I’m very blasé about the whole thing.
- Breakfast cereals. They make my life so much easier.
- A nice warm shower. I always feel better afterwards.
- I have fuel in the car, which makes life so much easier, too.
- All being well, I’m off for 3 days after today. At the very least it will be 2.
- Mom bought me a coin sorter, which will let me save £100. Having this is going to make me feel very wealthy.
- Today will be a quiet day for news.
- The alarm on my phone. I’d never get up without it.
- Realising that I want to get some photographs of sunlight and shadows.
- Realising that I’m a powerful manifestor.
- Safe driving.
- Work went OK. I got the news done in record time, and spent the rest of the morning faffing about.
- I was confident doing the claims, something that normally freaks me out.
- I seem to be handling the job better now than I was. Getting enough sleep seems to be vitally important, though.
- Tasty food - 2 Gregg’s chicken bakes, and a delicious sandwich. And some Whole Earth Cola (which is absolutely divine!). And some tasty cereal bars, which I’ve eaten most of already.
- The afternoon shift wasn’t too bad. I cocked the till up a few times, but I think I sorted it out eventually.
- All the laughing and joking I’ve done today.
- The working week is over until Tuesday morning - I have a 3 day weekend!
- My feet didn’t ache too much. And they’ve completely stopped hurting now.
- Free cheesecake! Julie’s hubby bought some in, and she shared it out.
- NYR done - I’ve drank 1L of water.
- I’ve really been aware of hunger vs. appetite tonight.
- Interesting blogs to read. However did I cope without my feed reader?
- I dealt with several numpties quite calmly and efficiently. I’m surprised and quite heartened that I can do this.
- Realising that anger can be a healthy emotion, and that it is OK to feel it. I wonder what other “obvious” things I take for granted?
- I’m not hungry.
- A nice long hot bath. Cypress and Rosewood, which have chilled me out after a long day, without making me sleepy. Very pleasant. I must get some Clary Sage, for the euphoric effect. I wonder what it would be nice blended with? Lavender? Perhaps some Palmarosa to cut through the heaviness.
- Playing with Wenna. She’s slowly learning how to shake with the correct paw, that being the paw closest to the hand that is being extended.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Laughing with Lynn, Judith, Julie and Vicki. And probably with Ann too.
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick, easy, simple day at work, with some satisfaction. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Served on the till.
- Complimented Vicki.

Another great list. I have read that breaking your sleep up into shorter intervals isn’t as good as getting 8 hours all at once.

I heard that too, but then I read about polyphasic sleep, where you nap for 20 minutes several times a day. Apparently, Leonardo da Vinci used to do it.
February 22nd, 2008 at 8:32 pmShort interval naps remind me of college, and when I worked in the hospital….they often made me feel a bit run down after a while.
Enjoy your days off!!!

Thank you, I’ll certainly try. I think I might go to the river, and perhaps get some pictures of the ducks. Then again, I might just stay in bed all day.

Quite possibly.
That’s another reason I’d be an unsuitable parent - I like my bed too much, and need a certain amount of sleep.
