Things I’m Grateful For on Monday 25 February
Things I am grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- Laveda posted a very intriguing article today. She’s absolutely right in what she says. You can’t make other people like you.
- Elton John - Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. Thanks, Laveda, you’ve now got me hooked on this song.
- Not having to go in to work all day. I have the whole day to myself.
- Lovefilm have sent me another DVD. Poirot, this time.
- It looks to be a nice sunny day. Not too cold.
- Hot fruit tea, to help me wake up. Boiling water is such an amazing thing.
- I realised last night that although I’m sometimes jealous of what other people have, they might well be jealous of what I have. Somehow this comforts me, but I’m not sure how. Perhaps it’s because it’s helping me to realise that I’m not alone? Water Violet was nice and safe and secure for a while, but could I turn it into a long term thing? Do I want to? Time for Fregair, I think.
- My glasses.
- The luxury of a computer and the internet.
- Being able to control the climate of the house I live in.
- The propelling pencil I nabbed from work. For a long time, I sneered at using them, without actually stopping to think about why. Now, I know I can write in the bath (try writing on a piece of paper with a biro, upside down - it’s not as easy as you’d think), or scribble in bed, and not have to worry about getting ink on the sheets.
- Breakfast cereals.
- Peter McWilliams. His books have bought so much light into my life.
- I’ve been paid back by another $5 on Kiva.org. My current total is $254.
- I am overflowing with wealth. Even when I don’t realise it.
- The unexpected treat of a Subway sandwich.
- Hot coffee.
- “Close your eyes, open your mind, and let the thoughts flow”. From last night’s jottings. Providence’s way of telling me how to do Fregair.
- I’ve filled all the Ecover bottles up.
- Watching Poirot. “Evil under the sun”. Not one of the better one’s.
- Watching Eddie Izzard.
- Amanda Marshall.
- An interesting Fregair session, that I wasn’t really expecting.
- Being able to type quite fast, especially when I don’t think about it.
- A tasty evening meal.
- NYR’s achieved - 2 pieces of fruit, and 2 glasses of water.
- Testing a new plugin. It appears to be working well so far.
- Working on the Bach course. I’ve been meaning to get round to this for ages, and today I’ve done it.
- Tomorrow is another day. Another chance to have fun all over again.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Wenna waking dad up.
- Watching the French and Saunders spoof of The Lord Of The Rings.
- The image of mom tripping up the steps and falling into the rockery.
- Eddie Izzard.
Things I want to manifest:
- Direction.
- A fulfilling hobby.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Put some stuff on the bird table.

I’m trying very hard to find some gratitude today. I’ve spent the past couple days feeling sorry for myself because of my health problems. There is more to my life than that.

I have read Life 101 many times. I don’t know if it is the same book….but I know Peter McWilliams has a book by this title.

Me too! I think it’s a great book. I love the rest of the series too.
