Things I’m Grateful For on Sunday 17 February
Things I’m grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- My glasses.
- I’m off work today.
- Getting up early, instead of lying in bed.
- I might go to the river today. It’s nice and dry, and I have plenty of fuel in the car.
- Breakfast cereals. It’s odd, but I never used to be able to eat first thing in the morning. Now, I eat my breakfast at about 6:30, and I’m hungry again by 10:30.
- I really enjoyed doing those logic puzzles yesterday, so I’m going to do some more today.
- That I’ve been keeping this list of things I am grateful for for as long as I have. When I started, I sometimes wondered if I’d ever finish.
- I’m really glad that some of the toxic people I used to know are no longer a part of my life. I’d sooner be alone than deal with negative people.
- The time I spent playing about with PHP.
- Watching the finale of Angels in America.
- A tasty organic apple.
- A nice hot shower.
- I heard from Rani.
- Doing some fregair.
- I’ve successfully edited some of the Wordpress files, to rearrange the Dashboard. All I have now are the most recent posts, the last 5 comments, and the last 5 inward links. None of the extra junk that’s usually there. I am so glad I didn’t mess things up.
- Playing with Wenna this morning.
- I remembered to wash my uniform.
- Hot fruit tea.
- Taking some photographs.
- Doing some writing.
- A colourful sunset.
- Realising that perhaps the hunger for direction is the distraction.
- Adding Black Gold to my Lovefilm queue. It’s a documentary about coffee farmers, and how they’re paid the same wage per week as we pay for a cup of coffee. I’m not a coffee snob by any stretch of the imagination, but I am glad that I only buy Fairtrade coffee these days.
- I’ve been paid back by another $6 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $239 now.
- A lovely hot bath.
- Interesting fregair.
- David Jordan - Sun Goes Down. Ignore the video, as it’s rather naff, but the song itself is quite good.
- Fiddling with my Lovefilm lists to try to get some DVD’s faster than other’s.
- Cold water.
- I’ve decided to mention here whether I’ve achieved my New Years Resolutions every day. If
I post here, maybe I’ll try to achieve them every dayI achieve them, it’s something to be grateful for. - I’ve changed the delivery date of one of my credit card statements to be closer to the day I get paid. Not that I really need to, as I check my balance every few days and pay it off. It feels really good to be in control of my finances like this.
- Finding out about the Furminator. It’s a pet grooming tool that apparently really helps to cut down on the amount of moulting your dog/cat does. You use it just like a normal brush, and it fetches all the dead hair out. I’m a bit sceptical of the claims of 90% reduction in shed hair, but the video’s on the site do seem to be impressive.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Thinking about Mandy, and opening You Can’t Afford The Luxury Of A Negative Thought to the page about avoiding negative people and situations. Very apt advice.
- Watching a funny comedy show.
Things I want to manifest:
- A good day off. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Made mom a Lemsip.

Ree

Actually, they’re vile. They’re incredibly bitter, so you need to add half a bag of sugar to make them palatable. So not only do you have the ‘flu, you have a massive sugar rush too. It’s great fun.
