Things I am grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:

1. I’m alive. All else is window dressing.
2. Cold filtered water to drink.
3. Electricity.
4. Healing T.
5. I’m off work all day.
6. I’ve created a list of the things I want to do today and the things I have to do today. Otherwise, I just float about in the middle with no sense of direction. Having a list helps tether me slightly.
7. Sorting out my Lovefilm queue.
8. Finding a source for some DL’s.
9. Playing with Wenna.
10. Having the necessary tools to do a job with. It makes life so much easier when you have the right tools, doesn’t it?
11. That there are good experiences in life, and that I can remember them.
12. Hot coffee.
13. A nice hot shower. Being able to shower myself. I’d loathe not being able to dress and wash myself. I really would. I’m so glad that I can undress, jump into the shower, wash and then dry myself, totally unaided.
14. Getting up quite early today.
15. Solving a sudoku puzzle. I’ve managed one so far, with a lot of help on the easy setting.
16. Watching Black Gold. It’s very eye opening. It doesn’t though, offer any solutions. It goes into detail explaining how the world market doesn’t give a good price for coffee, but it doesn’t mention Fairtrade at all. Fair enough, seeing as how Fairtrade isn’t going to solve all the problems, but surely it’s better to try to fix the situation than to sit and do nothing?
17. Hot fruit tea.
18. Living in a climate and temperature controlled house.
19. Being aware of the reverse psychology my parents try to use on me. And then ignoring it, or, like I just did, bringing to their attention that I’m aware of the games that they are playing, by explaining that such tricks haven’t worked on me since the age of 5.
20. Tasty homecooked food. Homemade beefburgers, with oven chips & homemade onion rings.
21. Listening to Paul McKenna.
22. Watching an unusual film. Very low key, low budget, etc. Not-well-known actors. Entertaining, nonetheless.
23. Realising I need Scleranthus.
24. Watching Lark Rise to Candleford. A very pleasant way to spend an hour. I think I might also like Cranford, so I’ve added them both to Lovefilm.
25. Dressing Wenna up in my jumper, and making her walk about in it. Poor creature.
26. I’m off work tomorrow.
27. I’m on shorter hours this week.
28. Reading some Firefly fanfic. It’s like crack!
29. Hot Earl Grey tea.
30. I’m a guy. Women seem to have a much harder time in life than men. Well, the women I know, anyway. Perhaps that isn’t an accurate cross section of the gender?

Things I’ve laughed at today:

1. Wenna doing her groaning trick to get dad out of bed.
2. I was listening to Northern Star by Mel C, and I misheard the lyric “whose gonna steal your crown?” as “Whose gonna steal your cr*p?”.
3. Some of the jokes Chris sent me. I’d post them here but they’re a bit racy.
