Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 27 February
Things I am grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- I’m alive.
- Reading The Introvert Advantage
. I wish I’d had this book when I was a kid.
- Breakfast cereals.
- Getting up OK despite the early hour.
- A nice hot shower.
- Remembering that I can do the books list later on when I get bored.
- Having a job. I might not enjoy these early mornings, but it’s better than nothing.
- Safe driving.
- Work went well. I got everything done in time.
- Not having to ask the delivery driver to move so I could get out.
- I handled the telephone calls I had to make brilliantly.
- This newfound confidence I have.
- The grill on the front of my car is dented. In itself, I’m not grateful for this. However, it’s still in one piece, and there could have been a lot more damage done. It’s only a bit of plastic that’s decorative, so it’s not like it’s essential to the running of the car or anything. And it’s cheap and easy to replace. Overall, I’m fairly lucky in this instance.
- The beautiful sunshine.
- Having my card with me at work.
- Hot coffee.
- I’m inspired to wash the car. I haven’t done it for ages, so it really needs doing.
- Mariposa has posted a funny, thought provoking message on her blog.
- The Hotfessional has posted a really beautiful letter to her body on her blog, too.
- Making another 50p with YouGov.
- Lovefilm have sent me another couple of DVD’s I wanted.
- I got my payslip today, and it’s much healthier than the previous one.
- Watching Life On Earth. I want to watch a lot of natural history documentaries this year. I think they’re fascinating.
- Having a job where I no longer have to work directly with the general public.
- I’ve ordered some blank DVD’s.
- Doing several surveys. I’ve made a couple of quid today for doing pretty much nothing.
- Sorting my finances out a bit. I’ve switched cards with a couple of places, and cancelled a money drain that wasn’t worth it.
- I’m up to £9.50 again on Valued Opinions. Another 50p and I can claim another Amazon voucher.
- Mom is going to wash the car for me tomorrow morning.
- Watching Firefly.
- Getting an early night.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- The Introvert Advantage
.
- Laughing with Judith and Vicki. And also Lynn and Julie.
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick, confident, simple day at work. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Fetched the milk in.
- Served some customers on the till.
- Saved Vicki some bits.

I’m grateful for friends who remind me that there is something to be thankful for even on the worst days. Today is much better. Thanks.

A good friend is worth their weight in gold. Or something. I recall that there’s a saying that goes something like that. I think it’s Chinese or something. Or maybe I’ve just had too much coffee? Who knows…

I was stood in the shower this morning when I head about it, and had to do a double take. Thankfully I was nowhere near it. Apparently, it’s done a £1,000,000 worth of damage. I find that hard to believe, though. How much can a chimney be worth?

Thanks for the smile.

I’m now going to have to spend ages searching the web for a video of that.
February 28th, 2008 at 7:30 pm Quote this commentI was also very grateful when I read The Introvert Advantage. I underlined and took notes and dogeared and made my husband read it. And then I bought a copy for my introverted daughter to read and share with her boyfriend.
I only wish it had been around for my mother to read and understand when I had been young. Definitely a life changing book…
This is a great website! My thanks to Golfwidow for sharing…

Absolutely! I was reading the section about childhood, and it sounded just like mine. I was lying in bed the other night reading it, and I kept laughing, because I recognised so much of myself in it.
