Things I’m Grateful For on Saturday 29 March
I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:
- Getting a good night’s sleep, and having a nice lie in.
- My lovely warm bed.
- Not having to get up at any specific time.
- I enjoyed the time I spent with mom and Nat watching some silly TV cookery show this morning.
- Olive oil.
- The time I spent grooming Wenna.
- Chinese food. I have some for my lunch, although I’ve already had a few spoonfuls.
- The heater in my bedroom. It’s a bit chilly and damp here today, and it’s nice to be able to have some warmth.
- I’ve apparently come out of the hyperactive mood I was in last night.
- Wordpress. I love this blog software.
- I have the entire day to myself. I don’t have to do anything, or be anywhere, unless I want to.
- Propelling pencils.
- Green & Black’s Maya Gold chocolate. This is one of the most delicious chocolates I’ve ever eaten.
- Getting a survey.
- I’m becoming more sociable.
- A nice hot shower.
- Being more aware of the food I’m eating. It’s really helping me lose weight. I close my eyes when I eat, and actually take time to enjoy the food I’m eating. I chew it more, and pause between mouthfuls. And in turn I eat less.
For example, earlier I fetched a cup of coffee and 4 biscuits. Usually I’d have brought the entire packet upstairs with me, but I only bought 4. By taking time to enjoy them, I only ate 2 of the biscuits. I just didn’t want the others.
- Hot cherry flavoured tea.
- Working out a way to get better returns on my Entrecard traffic.
- I have a couple of interesting documentaries to watch.
- Loafing about all day.
- A tasty smoothie.
- NYR’s achieved - 1L of water, and 4 fruit/veg.
- Watching Cranford.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Playing about with mom.
Things I want to manifest:
- Sharp, clear hearing. MANIFESTING.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Groomed the dog.
- Shared the wealth about a bit.
- Encouraged mom to diet.

I have tried other content management systems, but Wordpress works very well when it comes to blogging.
What I really appreciate is the open source community which supports it. So many people contribute with themes and extend Wordpress’ capabilities with plugins. It makes using the software fun and sometimes an adventure.

March 29th, 2008 at 3:55 pmThis is a very good blog concept to be thankful for even the littlest things in life. It’s easy to get caught up with all the problems and forget all the good things in life. Thanks for visiting my blog.

It really does. I love how completely customisable it is.

It’s human nature. We’re conditioned by evolution to look for the tiger that’s coming to eat us, rather than the pretty flowers.
March 29th, 2008 at 5:05 pmdo you put her hair out for the birds to use in their nests? it’s cool to look out and see the hair glinting in the nest.

We tried once, but it just blew round the yard. We must have upscale birds in our area.

It really works. I suppose when you think about it, you don’t eat food you don’t like, because you don’t like the taste. But if you’re not paying attention to what you’re eating, you could be eating something nasty without realising it.
