Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 19 March
I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:
- A good night’s sleep.
- I’m still feeling upbeat and positive. Spring is here. Garden centres.
- I had more weird dreams last night. A huge army was attacking, and we (the good guys) were hiding in a cutout in a mountain. It put me in mind of the scene with the Ewoks in Star Wars, and of the Last Alliance from the Lord Of The Rings.
- Breakfast cereals.
- Some interesting Fregair last night.
- I feel really inclined to get into a different line of work.
- Hot coffee.
- The weather looks to be nice today.
- I have change for the parking meter.
- I’m not in until 1PM.
- Waking up, and realising that it was an hour earlier than I thought.
- Safe driving.
- Work went OK.
- Harj didn’t have a go about yesterday, and every kept asking me if I was OK.
- I have some extra hours on Friday.
- I have a 3 day weekend. We’re closed on Monday, and I’m off Saturday.
- The look on Harj and Mandy’s faces was priceless when I went upstairs for my break today.
I’m such a b*tch, but that was so funny. (I walked out of my job again yesterday, without any kind of warning. Just grabbed my coat and left. I think they thought I was doing it again today.) - Hot coffee.
- Eventually finding my car on the first level of the multistorey car park, after I’d climbed up to level 5.
- Getting a Yougov survey.
- I managed to get Jackie’s paper.
- I found this rather nice video on this blog, and thought I’d share it with you all.
- Watching Serenity. I love that film.
- Listening to Providence. Either I’m getting better at listening, or I’m going completely off the rails. But who cares? It feels like fun. And it feels a damn sight better than anything else I’ve ever felt. So there!
- Realising that I’m so very lucky. There are people in this world who don’t have running water. They can’t fill up their kettles, or flush their toilets, because they don’t have kettles or toilets. I picture my bathroom without a toilet, or a sink, or a bath. My kitchen, without a kettle or a microwave, or a sink. I wouldn’t have what I call some pretty basic, fundamental implements of life. I am so very lucky.
- Not overeating. Not eating a whole packet of After Eight mints. They really are delicious chocolates, and one of my old main downfalls. Apparently no longer. I seem to have developed a better attitude towards food.
- Realising that releasing one emotion seems to release a whole slew of others. OMFG how useful is this going to be?
- Being pointed at Blogrush (look out for the referral link at the bottom). Apparently, it’s a way to get more traffic for your website. So I’m all for it. Entrecard is quadrupling or even quintupling my traffic. Which is great.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- #17.
- Quin’s comment below.
Things I want to manifest:
- A day that goes my way. I get to keep my job, my boss is sympathetic and work is quiet. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- I was pleasant to folk who didn’t deserve it.
- Served on the till.

a possible laugh:
the little boy i watch has autism, so, he is very literal. we were looking at dinosaurs on the computer, and came across one that was not one of god’s best looking creations. i said, “oh, dear, he was beat with an ugly stick!”
c said very seriously, “no, miss quin… that’s not a stick, that’s his tusk.”

I used to work in one, years and years ago. That makes me sound really old. Thanks for the laugh too.

I was on the winning side, thank goodness. I just can’t figure out why I keep having such weird dreams. I shudder to think what they’re trying to tell me.

LoL this is one unique blog
It’s true that we need to be grateful for what we have, and often people focus on complaining, what they don’t have and look at other people

Things I’m grateful for:
- The tulips and the crocuses are poking their green leaves out of the ground.
- The daffodils are about 4 inches high.
- I have a friend named Solomon who feels free to share his thoughts. Daily.
Thank you!

It’s pretty unique, yeah. There are a couple of others that I’ve come across that are similar, in the top left of the screen.
