Things I’m Grateful For on Monday 7 April

I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:

  1. I’ve been paid back by another $14 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $327 now.
  2. Getting a good nights sleep again. This waking at 9:00 lark really seems to be working.
  3. Some interesting Fregair came through last night. Stuff about emotional openness, and knowing what I want. Verbalising it really seems to help.
  4. The Bach Flowers. I’d be lost without them.
  5. My glasses. I don’t like to imagine life without them.
  6. Electric heat.
  7. Hot coffee.
  8. Indoor plumbing.
  9. That a cup of coffee stimulates 4 of my 5 senses. I can see it, smell the aroma, taste the strong taste of it and feel the warmth in my hands.
  10. Clean uniform ready for work.
  11. I’m only working 4.5 hours.
  12. Awareness of the Clematis state I’m in.
  13. The local Co-op has situations vacant, so I’m going to apply tonight. I keep coming up with ideas of what to put on my CV, such as having no dependants, or social life, and wanting to live a more sustainable life. If I could get a job shelf stacking, there, I’d be quite happy.
  14. Hot fruit tea.
  15. Safe driving.
  16. Work went well. Those 4.5 hours seem to fly by.
  17. Laughing with Mandy and Dinky.
  18. Maltesers.
  19. I have loads of fuel in the car.
  20. Lovefilm have sent me disk one of Trials of Life, which is a fantastic natural history series. A bit gory in places, but that’s nature, I suppose.
  21. Having OK-to-good customers.
  22. A really tasty evening meal - cauliflower, :broccoli: & potatoes, with cracked black pepper chicken.
  23. I have the evening to myself.
  24. Not having to drive in the snow.
  25. The brakes on my car work. Very often taken for granted, but I’d be completely stuck if they ever stopped working.
  26. NYR’s achieved - over 1L of water and 4 fruit/veg.
  27. My commenters. I love that you guys find something interesting in what I jabber about.
  28. Hot coffee.
  29. Chatting to Jackie.
  30. Asking myself the question “What is it going to take for me to be happy?”. I’ve realised, I think, that nothing outside of me is going to make me happy. I can be happy in the middle of the most unhappy circumstances. It’s all just a matter of picking the emotion I want to feel at a given time, and overcoming the conditioning that when X happens, I feel Y. Yes, I need to do Fregair.
  31. I got a coupon for some free seeds in the newspaper today.

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. Laughing about “vanilla” with Dinky and Mandy.
  2. Gizoogle thinks that “commenters” should be “commentizizzles”. Found via Quin’s blog.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. A quick, simple, easy day at work. MANIFESTED.

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Fetched the milk in.
  2. Served lots of customers.

OK, I love coffee too. It’s a good thing to be grateful for on the dairy, too, when you have to get up at 3:45 AM!

I read this, and kind of went into shock. The thought of getting up at that time horrifies me. I am suddenly much more grateful that I only have to get up at 9AM.

I am so grateful too for not having to drive in snow. Winter lasted way too long, and I’m so glad it’s over :) Very interesting link to the Bach Flowers!

I hate having to do that. Last year, we got some snow, and it took me nearly 3 hours to do a 2 miles journey. The traffic had all completely stopped.
