Things I’m Grateful For

Things I’m Grateful For on Saturday 5 April

I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:

  1. A good night’s sleep. The night’s are definitely getting warmer.
  2. A nice hot shower. I’ve used some of Nat’s apricot facial scrub today, and my skin definitely feels better for it.
  3. Reading some interesting blogs.
  4. Realising the value of Wordpress’s Autosave feature. I’ve already written one long insightful post this morning, that I lost when my browser crashed. But, because of that, I discovered this little programme, that will let you edit a Firefox session. Firefox Session Editor will let you edit the last Firefox session you had, and enable you to remove the site that was causing the problem. And now I know which extension it was that was playing up.
  5. Listening to the CD I got mom for Christmas - Piaf, by Elaine Paige. I’ve sang along to a couple of songs and been moved to tears by one of them - Les Amants d’un jour (Lovers for a day). Let me know what you think.
  6. Wenna. My beautiful mad dog.
  7. Hot coffee with condensed milk. Very decadent.
  8. Seeing this interesting video, made by none other than Quin. Go watch it, leave a comment, and rate it. Thanks to GolfWidow for pointing me at it.
  9. The beautiful view I have over the valley. I opened the door earlier, and the sun was really bright. I could see for miles, because the clouds were so high up. Stunning.
  10. I’ve removed the offending plugin from my system.
  11. A Green & Black’s Easter egg that mom bought back with her from her holiday. It was £10.99, but she only paid £2.79 for it, which is even better. It’s a huge egg and 12 little bars of chocolate. I think I might add some as prizes in the Contest.
  12. Working on Entrecard. The now have different messages when you drop your card - “Go! Go!”, “Yeehaah!”, “Wicked” etc.
  13. The traffic that Entrecard brings me. I’m going to look into some more ways to drive traffic to the site. CardioGirl pointed me at Buzzfuse, where she made a substantial amount of money, so I’m going to give that a go, and I’ve also seen something called Spott as I trawl the blogosphere, that might or might not prove useful.
  14. I think I’ve found the food that is going to destroy every diet I ever go on - chocolate dipped in hot coffee. So delicious.
  15. My commenter’s. If you’ve left a comment recently, and I haven’t responded, I apologise. I’m trying to work my way down the list.
  16. Being woken up by the dog howling and groaning Getting up early to play Legend of Zelda.
  17. The piece of sky blue foil from the Easter egg I was given earlier. It’s making me want to do something creative with it, but I have no idea what. Any suggestions?
  18. I have the whole day off work.
  19. Altruism. That people are prepared to help one another without any thought of recompense.
  20. Eventually getting a video loaded onto Youtube.
  21. I’m using the KeywordLuv plugin on the blog now, which I found on Untwisted Vortex. You now have a little more flexibility over what you write in the Name field when you leave a comment.
  22. A lovely hot bath.
  23. I can read and write. An awful lot of people on this earth are denied those abilities.
  24. All of my senses work. Another blessing that not everyone has.
  25. Reading The Mammoth Hunters in the bath.
  26. I’m off work tomorrow too.
  27. The game walkthrough that I’ve been using to cheat my way through Legend of Zelda.
  28. Cold cold water. Fantastic after a hot bath.

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. The title of a book mom has bought back from her holiday - “Not All Tarts Are Apple”.
  2. Nat looking on the internet for more info on a health issue she has.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. .

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Put the kettle on.

If you liked the CD, have you seen La Vie en Rose? I loved it, but my friend’s husband, and mine, hated it :( I loved the music, and the story was fascinating.

Chocolate dipped on coffee sounds soooo good. Thank heavens there’s none here!

I haven’t, no, but you mentioning it has triggered a memory. I think my mom has it on DVD. I might have to watch it some day.

What a fun surprise to come visit here and find none other than my very own Entrecard up there!

You’ve become quite the dropper, I certainly can’t keep up with you. But I’m glad to see you’re getting use out of it. Commence dropping!

I hope it brings you some traffic! And yeah, I do drop to my limit every day. I try to reciprocate drops as much as possible, because I think it’s nice to say thank you, but also for the credits. In a few days, I have enough to advertise on pretty much any blog.

It was. Very rich, though, so I think I overestimated how much milk I actually needed. Next time I’ll use less. :)
