Things I’m Grateful For on Sunday 13 April

I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:

  1. Getting up at 9:30, despite not going to bed until gone 2:30AM.
  2. Sitting up until the small hours of this morning, laughing and giggling with mom about a shopping channel product called the Micro Grill. Basically, it allows you to grill stuff in your microwave. Mom and I were having a field day taking the mickey out of it.
  3. Cold apple juice.
  4. I found a DVD that Lovefilm had sent.
  5. I’m off work all day.
  6. A tasty bacon sandwich.
  7. I have the whole day to myself.
  8. Playing with Wenna.
  9. Chatting to Dinky on Facebook.
  10. Seeing some birds up the garden.
  11. Seeing this cool video. It must take a LOT of skill to be able to do that. Found via this blog.
  12. Also seeing this cool video, found via this blog, about a neuroanatomist who had a stroke. Powerful stuff.
  13. Tasty fruit cordial.
  14. A nice hot shower.
  15. I’m starting to realise how guilty I feel so often. Scary stuff.
  16. Catching up with the current points totals - LaVeda H. Mason is in the lead with 11 points, Quin is second with 8 points and LiLi is third with 7 points. :broccoli:
  17. Hot filter coffee. I haven’t had any for a few days, so it’s extra special. :cucumber:
  18. Watching Life In Cold Blood. It’s really interesting.
  19. Playing various SNES games. Listening to the music brings back lots of memories.
  20. Realising that I have lots of cash on hand. This is making me feel very wealthy.
  21. Working on Entrecard. I’ve been doing a lot of reciprocated drops, which makes me feel good and encourages other people to reciprocate. :chili:

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. Laughing with mom this morning about last night.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. A fulfilling day.

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Helped Nat deal with her hangover.

It was really nice bacon. Not the horrible wafer thin stuff that oozes white gunk when you cook it.

Years and years ago in the olden days when I worked in industrial Liverpool, we used to pop round the corner to a tiny little shop (possibly someone’s front room) and buy bacon sandwiches, even sometimes bacon and egg sandwiches. All fried. The bread, the bacon, the egg.

These days I doubt they would pass any health and safety laws, not to mention general health warnings, but oh, did they taste good!

They sound it. When I was a kid, mom would do fried bread - a little bit of oil in the frying pan, and gently “toast” the bread on one side. Add HP brown sauce (must be HP, it’s the law! )and you have a very tasty breakfast. I haven’t had it for years. Also, grilled cheese with some spring onion in it, on bread. Delicious!

Her attitudes provide the perfect example of what I do. Having a stroke in and of itself isn’t a fantastic thing, but she turned it around and got whatever good out of it she could. In that sense, she’s lucky to have had that experience. :)

    Amanda (Shamelessly Sassy) Says:

Is SNES Super Nintendo? If so, I am SO jealous. My super nintendo keeps rolling over the screen when I turn it on. I am in desperate need of play Super Mario. OR the game that has all 3 of the original marios. And if SNES didn’t mean Super Nintendo..I suppose you should ignore all things I said about Mario! :)

It certainly is! And what’s more, I’m playing SNES games on my PC, with a SNES controller. How cool is that? :D
