Things I’m Grateful For on Saturday 17 May
Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:
- Getting a good night’s sleep.
- I have the whole day to myself to do exactly as I please with.
- Hot coffee.
- Seeing the look on Wenna’s face when she was excited.
- Fiddling with the blogs again.
- Seeing birds in the garden. Over the past week we’ve had 5 Wood pigeons, 5 House Sparrows, a Blackbird, a Dunnock, a Great Tit, 2 Blue Tits & a Thrush. To attract them into the garden, we’ve been feeding all sorts of food - bread, old cooked cake mix, mealworms, wild bird food, cheese, cooked rice and wild bird food mix. It seems to be working.
- I’ve finally received my bank access details.
- I’ve been paid back by another $9 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $389 now.
- Looking after the mealworms. I love the fact that I’m cultivating something.
- Feeding Wenna some biscuits.
- I have some jobs to catch up on today.
- Mom has paid back some of the money for the Ecover supplies.
- My shredder. I’ve had a whole heap of banking related papers come in the past few days (way more than I think is actually necessary) and using the shredder certainly makes me feel a bit more secure when it comes to destroying the papers.
- I live in a climate controlled house, that doesn’t require much (if any) energy to control the temperature. If it’s hot, I open a window. If it’s cold, I close the windows and doors, and put on a jumper. We have central heating but never use it, because we never need to.
- Peanut butter on toast.
- Another ebay auction I was running has completed successfully.
- I spent a happy few minutes just, making an envelope out of cardboard, for the stuff from the ebay auction. This makes me feel good in three ways - I save money by not buying a Jiffy bag, I reuse some cardboard that would otherwise be thrown away and I get to create something with my hands.
- Putting some bird food up the garden, and hearing a bird chirruping.
- A nice hot shower.
- Breakfast cereals, with cold milk.
- Sorting some more stuff out for Ebay. I’m really starting to get into selling stuff on there.
- Finding 3 new shoots on on the Aspidistra elatior “Akebono”.
- Mom got me some oat bran for the mealies while she was out.
- Entertaining myself by playing Pokémon. Yes, I am that much of a kid.
- A nice hot bath.
- Cold milkshake.
- Figuring out a way to get much more ebay stuff quickly and easily.
- I have the whole day to myself again tomorrow.
- Getting back into Entrecard.
- I’ve had 9 new mealworm pupae today. That’s 15 altogether.
- Having the idea to sell mealworm breeding kits on ebay, eventually.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Wenna trying to get into the shower with mom.
Things I want to manifest:
- Working automated backups.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Fetched the milk in.

I like the way you are attracting the birds with all types of food. It is so peaceful just to watch wildlife, I think.
Good luck with your ebay items.
Nice list.
Have a great weekend.

It really is. I love seeing the birds in the garden when I’m doing the washing up or whatever.
