Things I’m Grateful For on Thursday 29 May
Today’s list of things to be thankful for or appreciate:
- Getting a good night’s sleep.
- Breakfast cereals.
- I’m not going to be on the tills today.
- I have a car to get to work with. I don’t have to rely on public transport.
- Cold milk.
- A nice hot shower.
- Time seems to be whizzing by this morning. I hope the rest of the working day goes as quickly.
- I have plenty of fuel in the car.
- Safe driving.
- Work went well. news was huge, but I had a lot of help, and managed to get everything done just in time.
- Laughing with my colleagues. “Delicious”.
- Eating a couple of Greggs pasties. I’m such a bad boy.
- Playing about with a foam punching fist thing at work. it’s a foam fist, attached to a spring by a piece of string. It fires off, but doesn’t get lost
- Saving £1.28.
- Getting some Coconut body butter for free.
- I get paid in a day or two.
- I have adult mealworms!
- I’ve moved the adult mealworms into a big tub, and the larva into a smaller one, until tomorrow.
- Mom is going to fetch me some large tubs while she’s out tomorrow, which means they’ll be cheap and I wont have to fetch them myself.
- Catching a wasp before it caught me.
- A nice nap.
- Weird dreams. I was in a room somewhere, full of lots of animals in boxes. There was some kind of chimp loose, and a big black thing that looked like a dog crossed with a bear, that I was scared would try to chimp thing. Bizarre.
- A tasty bacon sandwich.
- I’m off work for three whole days now.
- I am SVFG (think about it…
) that I have daily blog backups. I’ve been messing about with the blog tonight, trying to enhance it a bit, and several times, it all went pear shaped. Thank goodness for Wordpress Database Backup.
- Burning some papers.
- Playing with Wenna.
- Laughing with mom and Nat about some women with too many clothes.
- Hot fruit tea.
- A very tasty organic pink grapefruit. Eating one takes me a while, and it’s almost a spiritual experience. I peel it, and then remove the pith from each segment, leaving the vesicles, which I eat. The time it takes me to eat one really helps me appreciate it. I don’t just shovel it in as quickly as possible (like I’ve been known to do with some other foods).
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- “Delicious”.
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick simple day at work. MANIFESTED.
- Getting a more suitable job.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Served a few customers.
- Covered breaks.
- Entertained my colleagues.

it is odd to think of someone relying on a car and not public transportation, since i can’t imagine driving in this city of mine. it took the bus 40 minutes to wind it’s way though a traffic jam yesterday… if i’d have been in a car, my gratitude would have been not getting out of said car and leaving it there.

Public transportation is OK over here, but it’s not necessarily a good thing to use. It takes me 40 minutes to drive to work as it is - I’d spend over an hour on a smelly bus with nutters trying to get to work otherwise.
May 29th, 2008 at 3:46 pmAt over a pound a liter, I would think that the high price of gas would work against your driving to work. Wouldn’t it be much cheaper to take the bus?

It might be cheaper, but it would be a lot less convenient. Add in the fact I get about 60 mpg from my car, and it looks a lot less attractive. I’m trying to get a job that’s closer to home.
May 29th, 2008 at 8:10 pmHi Sol, your list is lookin’ pretty damn good today!
May 29th, 2008 at 10:05 pmJust wanna say Thanx again for inspiring me to be ‘grateful’. It’s my birthday Friday 30th (in a couple of hours time, lol) and from then on i’m going to be keeping daily lists of all the ‘things i am grateful for’. I’m hoping it’s going to make a positive difference to my life n’ make my 27th year a good one! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!
Enjoy your 3 days off work, and Stay Beautiful!

The way you described it made me almost forgot it was grapefruit.
It has been raining here but am grateful that our flowers are being watered by the rain.
