Things I’m Grateful For on Tuesday 6 May

I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:

  1. Getting a good nights sleep.
  2. The night’s are getting warmer. I’m not having to take a wheat bag to be any more.
  3. All the nice comments I’ve been receiving since, well, ever! I’ve always had nice comments on this blog. I’ve never had a nasty one.
  4. I’m considering starting up a gratitude blog that is open to the public. By that I mean that people will be able to register for accounts, and post what they’re thankful for themselves. Sort of like this blog, only with more people, and more postings. It’s in the early stages right now, and I’m just putting the feelers out to see if people would be interested? If you are, please leave a comment below.
  5. I’ve got lots of ideas for the article I want to write about insomnia and getting a good nights sleep, which is great, but it also means I can start doing the gratitude articles soon. :dill:
  6. People have been rating the blog postings with Buzzfuse! It’s the grey and orange widget at the bottom of the post, and by rating it, you help me earn a few dollars. It only takes a few seconds. My deepest thanks go out to the people doing it! :broccoli:
  7. Texting Nit.
  8. Chocolate Weeto’s.
  9. Finding Wordtracker. It’s a website where you punch in a keyword, and it suggests a lot of searches that use that keyword. It’s a fantastic resource.
  10. We’re getting some nice neighbours moving in next door. It’s an Asian lady who is really nice, and she lives on her own. She actually owns the house and rents it out, so I think it’s pretty great that she’s moving in. :)
  11. Beautiful sunlight. It’s really sunny here today, and the air has that “spring” smell.
  12. Clean clothes. Such a luxury.
  13. Getting some nice photographs while I was up the garden. The Ceanothus is in bud, and the Myosotis, Aubretia and white Bluebells are all flowering.
  14. Having time to myself before work. I don’t have any dependants, and I like it that way.
  15. I’ve been paid back by another $7 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $360 now.
  16. Deciding to do something with my savings. I have a fair bit of money sat in account that isn’t earning anything, apart from maybe 2p every month. It’s time I put it to work. So I’m going to put it into a high interest savings account, or possibly an inflation-beating savings account. And I’m going to start regularly saving again. It’s time I took hold of my finances. Nobody else is going to do it for me.
  17. Safe driving.
  18. I have loads of fuel left in the car.
  19. Work went well. I had 99.999% pleasant customers.
  20. Chatting with Dinky.
  21. I scored some free dog food.
  22. It’s been lovely and warm today, without being sticky.
  23. A tasty evening meal.
  24. Hot coffee.
  25. Being able to open a window to let some cooler air through.
  26. Feeding/playing with Wenna.
  27. Finding out about a bank account that pays 8% interest, plus a £25 referral fee. And another account that pays 6.8% interest on the balance after 6 months. I had an account like this before, and it worked out really well. I think I might stick my main savings in one of those accounts, and leave it there, and just work the other account. It should be quite easy.
  28. Chatting to Nit.
  29. A new mixture - Water Violet and Walnut. I’ve been exhibiting Cherry Plum behaviour tonight.
  30. Hopefully earning £50 for signing up for a bank account. Nit introduced me to a website where they pay a referral fee if you go through them to sign up for an account.
  31. Finally managing to drop 600 Entrecards.

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. Laughing with mom about sticky Weeto’s. I tried to put one in her ear last night, and she complained that it was sticky, and took it off me. So I grabbed another one, and told her I had plenty more.
  2. Laughing with Dinky.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. A quick, simple, easy day at work, with pleasant customers. MANIFESTED.

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Served lots of customers..

Hi Solomon! Thanks for taking part in that meme I tagged you for. I wasn’t sure if you’d like to do it or not, but happy to see that you did. I enjoyed your responses.

What made you decide to use Buzzfuse? Anything in particular over the other blogging resources out there?

Thank you for the meme. It was only the 2nd I’ve ever done.

The thing that attracted me to Buzzfuse was a posting that CardioGirl made about it. You can find it here. It seemed like a good service, so I’m going to give it a go.

It’s a future project, I think. I have some other stuff I’ve promised to do before then, but if I can drum up enough interest, I’ll do it.

I also like your idea of gratitude site for others to post on. It would give people something good to think about instead of their problems maybe. (I rated you also) Good job!

    Solomon,

Thank you for your inspiring blog. I am a regular EC dropper on you, and every time I am on your site, I enjoy browsing through your gratitude list. You even inspired me to write down my own gratitude list (in my journal). I never realized how many things we have to be grateful for in a simple average day.

    Thanks a million!

That’s cool that you are grateful. I write them down because I have a terrible memory.

29 drops in 30 days is a fantastic drop rate! Thank you very much!

It’s amazing, isn’t it? No matter how bad things get, there is always something to be grateful for. :dill:

So very true, and when things are bad it’s so well worth remembering that.
