Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 28 May
Today’s list of things to be thankful for or appreciate:
- Getting a thoroughly good night’s sleep. Despite having 4 hours yesterday, and about 7 last night, and my sleep cycle being all over the place, I had the best night’s sleep I’ve had for a good long time. I’ve woken up this morning feeling ready for the day in a way that I haven’t felt for a good while.
- Hot fruit tea. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s a little early for coffee.
- Indoor plumbing. It’s grey, rainy day, and I’m so glad I don’t have to go outside.
- I’m not in work until this afternoon.
- While trying to look for the positive in this job, I realised that I really enjoy working with (most of) my colleagues, and that it’s certainly bringing me out of myself.
- I have plenty of fuel in the car.
- I get paid in about 3 days. Possibly less.
- The mealworms in the bokashi bran have started to pupate. I think that this bodes well for the life cycle.
- Starting a new mixture - Beech, Holly and Mimulus.
- I have change for the parking meter.
- I got some free Poppy and Nasturtium seeds yesterday.
- I can see.
Such an important thing in life, and I take it so much for granted. - Finding a new shoot on an Aspidistra cutting. A couple of months ago, it hadn’t even rooted.
- Some gratitude stones I ordered from ebay a while ago have arrived this morning.
- Ecover have sent me a free sample of their Washing Up Liquid, and a 25p off coupon, that I didn’t even ask for.
- Lovefilm have sent me 2 DVD’s I requested.
- A loan I made on Kiva has finally been sent to the women’s group I loaned to.
- I’ve been paid back by another $3 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $400 now.
- I have lots of time to myself before work.
- Listening to Sarah Mclachlan’s “Answer”.
- I really feel that these gratitude stones will help me focus my gratitude. One says “Prosperity”, another “Gratitude” and the third “Abundance”.
- I have lots of time to myself before work.
- Managing to skin the above Youtube video.
- Finding so may things to be grateful for before work. I deliberately pushed myself yesterday to find 40 things to be grateful for, and I’ve noticed that every time I do, I seem to expand that area of my conciousness or something. Anyway, the next day, I always seem to find lots of other things to be thankful for really easily.
- Being old enough, mentally and physically, to effect change in my life.
- Safe driving.
- Work went well. I had a lot of quite pleasant customers.
- I got my holiday approved, finally.
- I got my paycheck, and it’s a fair bit more than I was expecting. I’ve decided what to do with most of it already. Some of it will be saved, and some will be put aside for some upcoming repairs on the car, and the rest will be spending money. I’m going to save a large portion of it, though - no sense wasting it.
- Being calm and relaxed.
- Spending a small amount.
- I’m in for an extra hour tomorrow, which will be welcome.
- Not running a pigeon over. It managed to get out of the way.
- Bacon and beans on toast for tea.
- Finally sitting and savouring a large mug of hot coffee.
- Free chocolate.
- Lying in front of the fire with Wenna.
- Getting a survey worth 50p.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- This loldog.
- Eve posted this funny Youtube video.
Things I want to manifest:
- A nice, quick, easy simple day at work, with very pleasant customers. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Looked up bus times on the internet.
- Posted some letters.
- Served lots of customers.

*note to self, do not have good, hot coffee in mouth when reading this blog. the idea of mealworms is not a nice mental image at any point, much less when drinking good, hot coffee*

See, that just goes to show that you’re not a Robin or a Blackbird, because they’d love to nom on a mealworm.

I knew that if I had my big mug of coffee this morning, I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as I would if I waited and had it after I got in from work.

It’s just fruit. It looks like tea, in a teabag and such, but it’s bits of fruit rind and such. Quite tasty, though.
