Things I’m Grateful For on Friday 27 June
Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:
- Getting a good night’s sleep.
- Dreaming about elephants. Not just any elephants, but a purple one and a grey one, both of which were adults, and a blue one that was a baby, running about in The French’s garden. Then they were running into the next door neighbours garden, where she was breeding puppies. Wenna had 23. I was probably dreaming about The French because I’m going to see him tonight, and the elephants came from Wild China. But I don’t get why they harmonised in colour, or why Wenna had 23 puppies (though I must admit that that would be very cool).
- Hot fruit tea to wake up with.
- Gmail on my phone. If your phone has internet access, point it at http://m.gmail.com to try it out.
- I have 2 days off work after today.
- I’m hopefully going to catch up with The French tonight.
- I’ve ordered some more Teeccino.
- The Black Panther Streptocarpus has opened it’s first flower for the year.
- I have time to myself before work.
- I feel better to know that I’m moving up and out. I’m improving my life for myself, and that can only be good. I think that keeping this blog has helped me see, over time, what it is that’s important to me. Now I’ve worked that out, I can start moving towards it.
- Tasty breakfast cereals.
- A nice hot shower.
- I have a car to get to work with. It saves me so much hassle.
- Watching Wenna get excited about going for a walk.
- Mom has given me some change for the parking meter.
- I’ve had the details for another bank account, which means I earn another £45. Just for a few minutes work.
- I have a fair bit of cash on hand and that makes me feel good.
- Life is going my way again. Mainly because I’m making it do so.
- Safe driving.
- Work went well. Quick and quiet. H mentioned that he hadn’t forgotten our chat, but he’s just been so very busy (which is a load of crap) and he’ll get around to it soon. The earliest point at which he can do this now will be Monday, a full week after the incident. I am very rapidly losing any respect I have for this man.
- Laughing with Dinky, J and R. Oh, and gaming about with J2 this morning.
- I finally bought some books, that worked out even cheaper than I expected.
- Half price chocolate.
- I have more ebay-able items.
- Chinese food.
- Organic melon. Half of. Mmmmm!
- I’m not meeting The French until tomorrow night.
- I’m meeting up with Lush tomorrow.
- Reading “The Secret Garden”.
- Getting an early night.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Laughing with my work colleagues.
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick, simple, pleasant day at work. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Served some customers.

Colored elephants? With dreams like that who needs drugs and who would want to wake up? Sounds like you can take a vacation and never leave home.

I reckon it’s the Teeccino.
June 27th, 2008 at 6:43 pmHey Sol - just wanted your advice on something (gorgeous lists by the way!)
If you wanted to take on a new challenge - how would you go about it? Would you ‘go for it’ TODAY - NOW? or would you WAIT, set a day/date n’ give yourself to prepare for it? I want to take something on - part of me feels ready NOW and i wanna make a start today. But another part of me says “wait just a couple more days - maybe start on the 1st of July” What do you think?
I value your opinion/advice - You always seem to have answers (good ones!) I just don’t know what to do!
Wishing you a good weekend Sol. Enjoy it! I’m still inlove with your lists!

I’d start whenever I had the motivation to start. My motivation tends to wax and wane, so if I waited for a couple of days, I might be out out motivation when the time comes. If I needed time to prepare (say I was running a marathon) then I’d start preparing right away. I’d do something, anything, that got me closer to completing the goal.
Will waiting until July 1st actually benefit you in any way? Or could you start right now, and still have as much benefit?
June 28th, 2008 at 8:36 amHi Sol - thanx for replying, you little Raspberry sweet!
I’m being totally silly! I have something i want to do and i feel ready to do it - So what the hell am i waiting for? Waiting until July 1st won’t benefit me in any way. I just always feel i want to start things at the beginning of a week or month, lol. That’s silly isn’t it! I’m gonna take on my new challenge starting tomorrow - I don’t need to wait for the start of a month!
Thanx for asking me the right questions n’ helping me to see sense, you’ve been a big help - as always! Take care Sol - Thankyou so much.
