Things I’m Grateful For on Thursday 31 July

Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:

  1. A good night’s sleep.
  2. I was woken up at about 3AM by mom and dad dancing about on the landing and the dog making some very odd noises. Thankfully, she was fine. Mom thinks that she had a hair in her throat. I was having visions of rushing her to the vets. Instead, we all trooped downstairs, and the dog ended up curling up on the sofa next to me.
  3. Breakfast cereals.
  4. Lovefilm have sent me another DVD today. Carnivale again.
  5. I’ve been paid! :chili:
  6. My credit card bills have now been paid, and I’ve sorted out my savings.
  7. Having time to myself before work.
  8. I’m going to sort out the Contest tonight, and post the winner later.
  9. Hot fruit tea.
  10. I’m sort of grateful for just being alive. For being able to experience all of this. Have I finally gone round the bend? Or have I finally reached this level of Zen?
  11. Safe driving.
  12. Work went well. The first half hour was absolutely banana’s, but after that it was nice and quiet.
  13. Deciding to wait and see what happens with news. If I get it, I get it. If I don’t, I can look for something better.
  14. It’s only one more day until the weekend.
  15. A tasty evening meal. Quorn escalope, with potato wedges and broccoli.
  16. Finding some new music by an artist I like.
  17. Reaffirming my decision to be honest with this blog, and only list things I actually feel grateful for.
  18. Playing with Wenna in the rain. She seemed scared of it during the storm the other day, and it makes me feel better to see that she’s having fun in the rain again.
  19. Watching Carnivale.

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. This lolcat. And this one, though it took me a second to work out what it was.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. A quick, simple, pleasant day at work.
  2. Courage.

Things I’ve done for others:

I am glad the dog is o.k. Lionel, my cat, sometimes gets a hairball in his throat and makes an awful noise.
Isn’t it nice to have that credit card paid? Try not to use it, if possible. Makes life so easier to be debt free.
    Have a great day.

Isn’t it a great feeling when the credit cards finally show a balance of zero? What a great accomplishment! Congratulations!

I try to avoid using it where possible, and I always pay the bill every month. This month’s bill was bigger because I had to put stuff on it that I normally wouldn’t have done, because of the car.

I’ve only seen up until the end of the first series. Appolonia has just set her caravan on fire, with Sofie in it, and Jonesey has just dashed to the rescue, like the heroic man he is (who just happens to be quite good looking too).

I suppose I set the standard high when watching Firefly, which had Serenity to tie up the loose ends.

I’ve been avoiding your blog again. Not that I don’t want to come visit you, but my emotions are still kind of tender. I’m feeling much more grateful these days than I did for a bit.

Don’t worry about it. On the days I’m having an episode, I can barely get the blog rolling in the morning. :)
