Things I’m Grateful For on Friday 18 July
Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:
- It’s Friday.
- Getting a good night’s sleep. I was having weird dreams. Entertaining, though.
- Breakfast cereals. I’d be so lost without them.
- I can now walk on my foot without any pain.
- Hot fruit tea. It seems ages since I had any.
- A nice hot shower.
- My battery charger and rechargeable batteries. They’re slowly saving me a fortune.
- I have a job to go to that doesn’t fill me with dread (at the moment, anyway).
- Catching the buses was easy and simple, just like I wanted it to be.
- Work was OK. I had OK-to-good customers all day.
- Laughing with Dinky.
- Tasty food - I had a couple of Greggs pasties again today. I’m going to get fat again.
- Free chocolate.
- I got a few free hanjie books, a sudoku book, a wordsearch book and a codeword book free of charge from work.
- Laughing and joking about with A and Dinky.
- I’m off work for 2 days now.
- I get my car back tomorrow.
- I did 2 codeword puzzles on the way back from work.
- I definitely have enough money to cover the cost of the car.
- Getting the money for the car was easy and most importantly safe.
- Hot Teeccino.
- I’ve found out tonight that I can quickly and easily get access to the BBC iPlayer via a virtual OS. Which is great news, as I don’t have Windows Media Player installed on this PC.
- A tasty bacon, cheese and beetroot sandwich.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- Look at the eyes on these lolcats. Aren’t they scary?
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick, simple, pleasant day at work. MANIFESTED.
- A quick, simple, pleasant bus journey to and from work. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Fetched the milk in.
- Served lots of customers.
- Reassured K that J2 is “like that” and she doesn’t mean to be off.

Today I am grateful that I have the best sister in the world!
Solomon, thanks again for the daily timeout your site provides to focus on what I am grateful for.
Really did have 10 loads of wash yesterday. I am grateful I am almost done.

July 18th, 2008 at 4:18 pmHi Sol, I’d be lost without Breakfast Cereal too - I eat a couple of bowls a day. Weetabix is my favourite food and i’m grateful for it daily. If i wasn’t worried about being fat then i’d love to eat bowls of Oats, and Bran Flakes - yummy! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
July 18th, 2008 at 4:24 pmLove the kittens. I grateful for the giggle.

I’m a bit meh about Weetabix, but I love Weetabix Mini’s, especially the chocolate one’s. Oatibix have about 90 calories per biscuit, and a serving of bran flakes is the same, which is about 5% of your GDA. Plenty of fibre in them too.

They’re great, aren’t they? Bit scary looking though. They look like they want to steal my soul or something.
July 18th, 2008 at 8:49 pmGlad your foot is getting better. I wish I could find a good rechargable battery set up; mine keep wimping out on me for some reason. Maybe I am not charging/recharging them correctly.

July 19th, 2008 at 3:09 amToday I am grateful I found HumanClock.com - it’s a GORGEOUS idea where people takes photos of the time and when that time clicks over their photo appears. I sent a photo of my daughter and I playing with toys with numbers on them. Look out for us at 9:18 one morning! he he he

Oh! I just checked out the lolcats - they’re cute! Couldn’t understand many of the comments though - I must be getting old. Today I’m NOT thankful that a whole new language is emerging in my lifetime and I’m missing the boat, lol

And I am! Catching the bus has been interesting, but it’s not something I’d like to do on a permanent basis.

I wouldn’t sweat it. It’s called lolspeak, and you only find it spoken on such websites. it is possible to read it, but it’s like text message speak - you have to really stop and think about it, instead of just being able to read it. The humanclock.com thing sounds cool. I’ll have to check it out.
July 19th, 2008 at 11:24 amI have some cheapo plug-in deal. It is hard to get the batteries situated just so in order to charge them. You have to fiddle with it for quite some time…at least I do. Maybe I need to invest a bit more dough and get a good set-up.
BTW-Catching the bus in a metro area is always an adventure. When I lived in Portland I didn’t have a car and worked from 4PM to midnight. Strange people lurk at busstops in the dark. Ha!

I had one that lay flat and took several sizes of battery, but the springs in the thing went, so you had to wedge things in to make a good connection. My new one has spaces designed to take a battery, with no moving parts, and it seems much better.

They lurk there during the daytime too.
