Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 2 July
Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:
- Getting a good night’s sleep.
- Hot Teeccino.
- A book I ordered arrived this morning.
- As did some DVD’s from Lovefilm. I’m really loving Carnivale.
- That I live in a developed country.
- Awareness of my emotional mood.
- Dinky mentioned yesterday that A and J are both off for a week each in a weeks time. If I can get this job on Saturday, I can hand my notice in, and H will lose 3 members of staff at the same time. What a shame for him. There will only be 4 members of staff in that week, one of whom wont work afternoons. I probably should be above finding pleasure in the discomfort of others, but I’m not.
- That I’m making life better for myself.
- I’ve realised that in the days preceding the interview, I can practice my interview technique, and try to incorporate some of the tips from the book “How to Win Friends and Influence People“.
- I’m off work for 3 days at the weekend.
- Work went OK. A couple of schways. M not in.
- Laughing with Dinky.
- Not being out in the rain.
- Chatting to some of my regulars.
- I always have an out.
- Safe driving.
- Avoiding a traffic incident.
- A tasty evening meal of fish fingers, chips, peas, baby sweetcorn, waffles and onion rings.
- Playing with Wenna, lots.
- Some very tasty peaches. Nice and crunchy.
- Watching Carnivale.
- I got an ebay item posted for me.
- Oddly, spending some time with the family.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- This loldog. It reminds me of my aunt’s dog.
- Mom and dad. I asked mom about a song that I could remember a few lyrics to, and mom replied with the name of the song, and dad chimed in with the singer. A split second later, the budgie flew out of it’s cage, and dad asked “What’s made it do that? Was it thinking about that song?”.
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick, pleasant, enjoyable day at work. MANIFESTED.
- Success at the job interview.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Served lots of customers.

I find that prepping for an interview really helps to ease my nerves a bit. Wishing you lots of luck!
Hooray for a 3 day weekend

I haven’t been in bed at 10:30PM for years. 12 midnight is usually the earliest I get to bed.

July 3rd, 2008 at 2:21 amWell, it’s a 3-day weekend for most of the people in the US this week because we celebrate Independence Day on July 4. I’m still not feeling very grateful - not wallowing in self-pity, but not filled with gratitude, either. You have inspired me to blog about gratitude and remind myself of all I have to be thankful for. Tomorrow it’s 13 Things for Which I’m Grateful.

Sometimes you have to be in the darkness to appreciate the light.
Don’t beat yourself up over it. I find it to be an ideal, not a command.
