Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 20 August
Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:
- Getting up OK, despite the early hour.
- I was dreaming again this morning, about Quin. I was on a beach, digging for lugworms this time, when the tide started coming in. In fact, it came in so much, Quin and I were trying to evacuate the town. Then I had to rescue a black kitten with a cerise pink mane from my bedroom. I sometimes wonder about myself…
- Breakfast cereals.
- A nice hot shower.
- I’m seeing J’s mom tonight. I’m really looking forward to it.
- I get to have a nap before going out again this evening.
- My utilities are working - water, electric, television, PC and such.
- I have a job list to do at some point.
- Having time to sit and pull myself together before going into work. I really really want this.
- Finding some tea tree essential oil.
- Dad has fixed the extractor fan in the bathroom, by disconnecting it, which means that there is no longer a terrible noise when turning the light on.
- Ecotopia.co.uk are offering a 10% discount on all Ecover products until 31st August 2008.
- Singing along to Alice Peacock.
- I have £13.11 in my ValuedOpinions account, awaiting authorisation. I’m saving it up to help pay for mom & dad’s birthday presents.
- I’ve been paid back by another $6 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $547 now.
- Safe driving.
- Work went well, nice and quickly.
- I got some free bits and bobs from work.
- Remembering to take some money with me this morning.
- Laughing with Dinky and L, as always.
- A nice nap after I got in from work. I needed it today.
- Lovefilm have sent me a huge bunch of DVD’s.
- Work is over for the day.
- Some very tasty, tangy raspberries.
- Having a very good time at J’s mom’s.
She gave me a camera. And it was great to catch up and chat about all sorts of random things.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick, simple, pleasant day at work. MANIFESTED.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Covered J2’s break.
- Served a few customers.
- Bought J’s mom some flowers.

Dreams can be strange, can’t they.
That is a good savings in your valued opinions account and a nice goal to save for.
I enjoy your comments on my posts and so glad you take time to visit.

I’ve had £70 off them so far, for doing surveys. I’ve decided to by the parents a Nintendo DS and Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training for their birthdays, and my sister is going 50/50 with it for me. I have £15 saved towards it so far, so i’m hoping for lots of surveys between now and October.
August 20th, 2008 at 4:07 pmI’m grateful to be home after my vacation. It’s taking longer to ‘rest up’ than I had anticipated. However, I did get a bit of shopping done yesterday and washed up all the laundry that accumulated while we were gone. Four children and two female adults can sure dirty a lot of clothes in five days. I guess I should also give thanks for the washer and dryer. lol

Well, I don’t know about should, but I imagine life would have been a lot more difficult without them, doing all that washing.

A working car is a very useful thing. And it’s cool that you get some warning to fix it. Mine just breaks.

Absolutely. All the more so because they’re free.
August 21st, 2008 at 9:05 amYou’re doing very well on your surveys. I only ever seem to get through the first few questions and then they tell me they have enough people, thank you! Nevertheless I have accumulated a few tokens. I’d forgotten about the YouGov one, so I’ll try that. Thank you

Yougov is good, but it takes ages to get to the £50 payout level. I’m only at about £12.
Still, it’s a nice bonus, and a good way to save the money.
