Things I’m Grateful For on Sunday 16 November
Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:
- Getting a good night’s sleep.
- My glasses. C at work has broken hers. I’d be going into a flat spin right about now. But mine are fine.
- My lovely warm comfortable bed.
- Dreams about Supernatural.
- Playing with Wenna this morning.
- Hot coffee.
- Watching bacon cook in the new grill. I find it fascinating.
- Hot sweet tea and a bacon sandwich.
- Finding some more presents.
- Watching Countryfile.
- Not having to go out today. It’s cold and damp out there.
- Playing games on Facebook.
- Finding a fun new thing to do - work out which item profits best in a game I’m playing.
- Working on the fun thing for about 3 hours.
- Tasty food.
- Only having to go out in the cold once.
- Mom has been shopping and brought lots of goodies back.
- A nice hot shower.
- I can wear my civvies to work tomorrow, and tell people to buzz off when they hassle me.
- GAFarmWoman has posted a lovely set of photographs today. I love the look on BoDog’s face.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- This lolcat. And this one. And this one too.
- Mom reciting a funny story about the time I left the steam valve open on the espresso maker.
- This loldog.
- This fail.
Things I want to manifest:
- A tidy desk.
- A removed clothes pile.
Things I’ve done for others:

Glasses. Thanks for reminding me. I need to make an appointment to get a new pair. Hubby will squawk if I forget. Better get off of here and get it done.

Too true. Mom complained earlier that she couldn’t seem to find hours in the day to make time for herself. Which is kind of the point of making them…

So do I, scarily enough. It’s been 4 years since my last eye test.

There is a thing on the side that you can use to froth milk. It basically squirts steam out of a nozzle at high speed. I’d left it open at one point, and forgot, so the next time mom used the espresso maker, great gusts of steam shot out of it, and mom didn’t know how to turn it off.
