Things I’m Grateful For on Monday 4 February
Things I’m grateful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- I have a job. The hours might be a bit awkward, but I would hate HATE HATE to be unemployed.
- The nights are getting warmer. I had to take my socks off in bed last night.
- Breakfast cereals.
- The unexpected Fregair session last night.
- Realising that I should be taking Clematis, to help me escape the bubble. It’s a nice place to visit, but living there is going to drag me down.
- Reading 4/5ths of The Scions of Shannara last night in bed.
- Getting up at 9:30, on 7.5 hours sleep.
- Playing with Wenna this morning. Fussing Wenna on the bed.
- Being able to ask complete strangers for advice.
- Being able to share myself with the world at large (or at least you, my reader) in a way that is quite satisfying.
- My router, internet connection and PC. They’re so very reliable.
- I’m off work all day.
- Bunches have another sale on - 10% off all bouquets until Saturday 9th Feb. I’m a sucker for sending flowers to people.
- My body is entirely free from pain.
- I’ve ordered mom some flowers for Mother’s Day (2nd March - don’t forget!
), of which Nat is going to chip in half.
- I’ve made 33p on my cashback card, 388 Posy Points at Bunches, which is worth £1.94 off some more flowers (this is equal to 5% cashback), and I saved 10% off the order.
- Another tasty smoothie - 1 banana, 1 apple, enough blueberries to make it an appetising colour. Enough apple/orange juice to make it liquid. Delicious. This is turning out to be a great way to use up the fruit from the veg box.
- Deciding to make Tuna Neopolitana for tea. It’s cheap and tasty. And mom hadn’t got anything planned, so that’s good.
- Successfully using Yahoo Pipes. I’ve managed to join 3 feeds together into a single feed, and get them added in chronological order. This is going to save me from having 3 separate feeds in my feed reader.
- I have money to spare.
- An invigorating shower. I feel more alive now I’ve simply brushed my teeth.
- Kelis - Lil Star.
- Being able to read some javascript and edit an extension.
- Freshly pressed orange juice. Too much sugar!!!!!!!!!!
- I’ve finished The Scions of Shannara. Not the best book I’ve ever read, sadly.
- I’ve decided to extend the Giveaway to 2 weeks. It now closes on 11/2/08.
- I think I might have really gotten the point across to mom that I’m trying to cut down on the amount of junk I eat. She mentioned the huge cake she bought for me (seriously, this thing is 12″ square!), and I said that I’d already told her that I was trying to eat more healthily. Nobody else can eat the cake, and I’ve only had a bit off it, so I might just leave it in the fridge for a week. That will really drive her up the wall. Just to reinforce the fact that I’m trying to eat healthily. I’ve been trying to do this for a year now, and she still hasn’t got the hint.
- A tasty meal.
- Getting some good shots of a pineapple, some blackberries and a rose. I love this camera. It’s only a Nikon L3, but it does the job, which is the main thing.
- I might be earning some more money tomorrow.
- The speakers on my PC. I wouldn’t be able to listen to music without them.
- I’m giving myself a nice hot bath, even though it’s not Saturday night.
- Powdered milk.
- A fantastic warm bath, with bergamot, rosewood and vetivert essential oils in it. I feel very “chilled”.
- Hot fruit tea.
- I’ve found that I have a much more worthwhile time listening to Paul McKenna with headphones on.
- I have clean dry uniform for morning.
- Free parking!
- I have fuel in the car.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- This list, found via Laveda.info.
- My new catchphrase is going to be “It is delicious cake!“.
Things I want to manifest:
- A day where I get something achieved. MANIFESTED. I’ve cooked, sorted a feed out, ordered some flowers, made some money, had a tasty smoothie and got some cool photo’s. I love today.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Took the washing up downstairs before mom tipped the bowl up.
- Added some films mom wants to my Lovefilm queue.

Yay! for being off work! You’ve had quite a productive day.
It is getting warmer isn’t it? I went to bed last night thinking the same thing. I only needed 1 shirt to go to bed

February 4th, 2008 at 8:38 pmI’m always off work. I rarely get that much done. Today I finally got my desk and computer moved. Now I’ve got to finish rearranging and cleaning. Something to look forward to tomorrow.
Your dancing veg always make me smile. Thanks.

February 5th, 2008 at 2:25 amThey are predicting another snow storm tomorrow night into Wednesday. I’ve made the decision that if it does, I’ll take the day off and watch the snow from my window while drinking coffee.
I’m kind of hoping it does snow…

It’s a type of meditation. You sit quietly, ask yourself a question, and wait for the answer. I developed it myself, a couple of years ago.
