Things I’m Grateful For on Saturday 23 February
Things I am thankful for or that I’ve appreciated today:
- A nice lie in until 10:00AM.
- I’m off work all day!
- Listening to The Carpenters. One of my OGT’s.
- Playing with Wenna.
- I’m apparently in the middle of a healing crisis of some description.
- Lovefilm sent me another 2 DVD’s this morning.
- Hot coffee.
- Mom is going to give me some money for Easter.
- Weird cathartic dreams in the night.
- Free automated software. It makes my life so much easier.
- Being able to blog.
- That other people are able to blog.
- Playing about with the Clone tool in Irfanview, to remove some branches from the picture I use for my desktop wallpaper. I’m no wizz at cloning, so it’s not fantastic, but it’s still pretty good, I think. A Smudge tool in Irfanview would be good addition, I think. But just having Clone is cool.
- Hot coffee.
- Amanda Marshall. I love her voice.
- I had a few surveys to do yesterday, and made a few £££.
- Spring is on the way.
- I read a book, years ago, called Fire In The Mist. It’s about a girl who can do magic, who loses her entire family, and then she has to carve out a new life for herself. One particularly funny story from the book stuck with me for years, and today I’ve found it online. It starts about halfway down the page, with “Fifth class” and spans the next couple of pages. I would love to be able to pull something like that off.
- Hot fruit tea.
- Listening to some music. Singing along, out of tune, to said music.
- Watching a cool video of some gigantic crystals inside an even more gigantic geode. It really reminded me of a scene from the film The Core.
- A nice warm shower.
- I am not hungry. I may well be bored and looking for something to do, but I am not hungry.
- I heard from Lush today, and we’re going to meet up on Tuesday after work. Which will be cool.
- Seeing the most artistic Youtube video ever. It’s so very impressive. Via.
- I’ve decided that for my next meal, I’m going to have cheese and leeks on toast. And it will be delicious. I might even have some bacon with it, which would make it doubleplus delicious.
- Starting to learn how to sing Ben Pode Santa Maria. Here’s a link to the song on Youtube. All I can do so far is the chorus, but I keep finding myself singing it at work, or humming it under my breath, so I want to be able to sing it properly.
- A nice walk in the fresh air to the local shop to get some cheese.
- The bacon-and-leek-on-toast-with-cheese-thing was very tasty. The leeks complimented the cheese nicely, and the bacon really contrasted. I have no idea how many calories I’ve just eaten, but who cares? Life is too short to be miserable.
- I have a new food to worship. Pressed apple juice from The Co-op. It’s strong and tangy, and tastes way better than ordinary apple juice.
- Remembering to order the tax disc for my car.
- Having a tidy up. I always feel better when my desk is clear.
- I’ve been paid back by another $2 on Kiva. That’s $249 so far.
- Playing some games online, that entertained me for a while.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- The scene with the tramp from Angels In America.
Things I want to manifest:
- A fulfilling day off.
Things I’ve done for others:
- .

What a nice long list today! Pressed apple juice huh? Never tried that. And that bacon, leek, cheese toast thing sounds great too
Hope you’ve having a great day off!

They grate the apples, then squash them to extract the juice, like normal. But instead of filtering it, they just leave it as it is. It’s got a much fuller flavour.
