Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 12 March
Today’s list of things I am grateful for or that I’ve appreciated:
- A good night’s sleep.
- Getting up better this morning, than I have for most of the other early mornings I’ve done. I feel better because I planned it. And probably because I didn’t go to bed absolutely knackered.
- Cold milk on the doorstep. The wind is howling away out there.
- Having time to pull myself together before I have to start dealing with paperwork.
- I’m prepared for the car not starting this morning.
- More evidence of healing T. How blimming fantastic is this???
- Coming across the idea to write a letter to myself on my birthday, covering the events of the past year.
- Breakfast cereals.
- Living in a country where it’s the “standard” to have a climate controllable house.
- I have enough fuel in the car to get to work, enough money in my bank account to get more, and the means to get at the money to get more with.
- A stable electricity supply. Yesterday, we had a power cut. 12v solar lighting saved the day.
- It’s drying up now it’s time to go out to work. And I have my trusty woolly hat to hand, so I should be OK.
- Safe driving.
- Laughing with my colleagues. I had a customer this morning, who wanted some information right now! I dealt with her, hung up the phone, and apparently gave her (via the phone) a withering look. Lynn, who had overheard the conversation, burst out laughing at me.
- Mandy came in, looking miserable. Karma’s a b*tch, ain’t she?
I probably should be above taking delight in the misery of other’s, but I’m not. Perhaps I should go back on the Beech? - I got everything done in time. Well, everything that I could do, seeing as how I wasn’t sent any paperwork. I sent a lot of partworks back today, which will save me some time next week. And Vicki has pulled tomorrow’s paperwork off for me,which should save me some hassle tomorrow.
- The building next to mine is having some work done, and a guy was working on a scaffold next to the driveway, making it awkward for me to get out. Thankfully, I managed to get past without knocking him down.
- I went to a totally unfamiliar petrol station today.
In itself, that doesn’t sound like much, but it’s quite a big step forward for me. - My Photobox picture of Wenna has arrived. Mom will be pleased.
- Some CD cases I ordered from ebay have arrived too.
- I’ve had a credit card bill arrive, which has reminded me to switch cards with one company.
- Lovefilm have sent me 2 more DVD’s. I love getting stuff in the post.
- Hot coffee and a sit down.
- The programme I coded the other day seems to work quite well. A few tweaks, and I’ll be able to trust it to do the job.
- Beautiful sunshine.
- I’ve been paid back by another $4 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $284 now.
- A nice nap.
- Realising that if I can keep doing the job I do, I don’t want to give it up.
- Singing along to Alice Peacock and Amanda Marshall.
- My life really sees to have taken off in the past few months. I got a new job, my moods stabilised, I’m no longer suicidal, I’ve manifested healing in my body, and my self confidence is really on the up. This is just too amazing. And I love it. I wonder what else I can manifest? Whatever you want.
- Providence. If I lost all else….
- A big mug of hot coffee.
- Eating what I want, when I want.
- I’ve paid this month’s and next month’s housekeeping. This means that I shan’t have any problem paying for the car insurance next month.
- I know intellectually that I am wealthy.
- Another nice hot shower.
- Being able to share the wealth.
- I’m confident about work tomorrow.
- I have faith and confidence that I could get another job, if I wanted one. Knowing this makes me feel much less desperate. I suppose it’s another facet of being wealthy - I have it, so I don’t feel that I want it. God I need to do Fregair.
- An interesting Fregair session.
- Hot Bournvita. I’d link, but I can’t find a decent resource online. Basically, it’s a malted chocolate drink. Very warming.
- Today has turned out much better than I thought it would.
- My beautiful daffodils.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- These LOLmodels, via The Hotfessional.
Things I want to manifest:
- A quick, simple, easy day at work. MANIFESTED.
- More of this confident feeling. MANIFESTED. Even better, I got some evidence of the confident feeling.
Things I’ve done for others:
- Fetched the milk in.
- Left positive feedback.
- I shared some wealth.

If by “soon” you mean next month, then you aren’t too far off.

I wish that we had milkmen here. That’s such a cool service.

I scared mine the other week. I opened the door at about 6:15 to get the milk in for my breakfast, and he was stood on the doorstep. Usually they come round at about 3AM.

Solomon, The Snake is a river which rises in Western Wyoming (along it’s border with Idaho), flows through the State of Idaho (my home), and empties into the Columbia River. It is a “working” river in that there are many hydro-electric plants along it’s length and it provides irrigation for much of southern Idaho. It is also a scenic and recreational river providing white water rafting, fishing, and boating as well as beautiful canyons and wetlands. For more information and pictures Google Idaho’s Snake River.

Thanks for the explanation. When I first read the heading, I thought it was a Native American ceremony or something.

Now you’ve made me laugh out loud. Thanks, I really need to laugh these days.

It’s easy once you get into the habit of it. If you look back at January last year, when I started the blog, I had a lot of trouble doing it every day. I’ve just had a lot of experience now. What I find difficult is keeping it fresh.

The letter idea is tremendous. I followed the link and read the post.
Also to remind you I’m still reading …
Aries, eh?

Yep. I don’t know if I’m a “typical” Aries, but I’m one all the same.
