Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 2 April
I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:
- Getting some sleep last night.
- Hot fruit tea to wake up with.
- I have fuel in the car.
- Finding some interesting new blogs via my commenters.
- The alarm and snooze features on my phone. I had 15 1-minute snoozes today.
It really helps me wake up in a morning. - Breakfast cereals.
- A nice warm shower.
- The Eagles - Lyin’ Eyes. “Ain’t it funny how your new life didn’t change things - you’re still the same old girl you used to be…”
- Living in a house where I can close a window to keep the heat in and the cold out. I am so lucky to have this.
- Dry towels.
- I know that I’m feeling the way I do because of something external to me, not something I’ve done. This is such a relief! I feel down because I didn’t get enough sleep, and that’s the only reason.
- I have access to enough money to be able to eat at work.
- I can sort out my holidays at work today. I have access to the Manager’s office because none of them are in, only the deputy, and she’ll loose me in to see the holiday planner.
- Wenna greeting me this morning when I went downstairs.
- Knowing that one swallow does not a summer make - I’m having a naff morning, and that’s all it is. A one off, naff morning. I don’t need therapy, or to phone in sick to work. I’ll be fine once I get going.
- I have emotions. I can feel them.
- Safe driving.
- Work went well. I had pretty good customers all day.
- The news this morning was nice and simple. Everything went out quickly and efficiently.
- Laughing hysterically with Vicki tonight.
I don’t even know what we were laughing about. Something to do with price labels. Anyway, we both spent a good 20 minutes with out legs crossed, trying not to pee our pants because we both needed the loo, laughing at one another. I haven’t had such a good laugh in ages. Vicki’s mascara was starting to run she was crying so much. I’d had some Red Bull, which left me with the giggles, and once we started there was no stopping. I wish we had such a good laugh every day. - A couple of schways.
- Tasty food.
- I got some love-in-a-mist seeds, a Haydn CD and a DVD of rock music free today.
- I saved 69p by using my staff discount card today, which was nice.
- I scored a free out of date bottle of Coke.
- Being able to take my Bach Flowers at work. The Olive apparently helped.
- Hot coffee.
- Lovefilm have sent me another 3 DVD’s.
- Getting 5 out of 5 on the daily Freedictionary.com Match Up quiz, that I found on Elle’s blog.
- Quin has added me to her blogroll.
- I have time tonight to do the Entrecard stuff I need to do.
- Getting a YouGov survey worth 50p.
- I’ve been paid back by another $4 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $307 now.
- The heater in my room.
- I get to prepare what I want to eat tonight, and choose when I want to eat it.
- The huge swath of daffodils I see on my way to work every morning. There’s a patch of waste ground that I drive past every morning, and it’s absolutely covered in daffodils. It’s really beautiful.
- Eventually finding my credit card, ready for tomorrow. I’m buying a printer for Chris tomorrow, which I’m putting on my credit card so I get cashback, while also saving my staff discount on it and getting clubcard points.
- Having the giggles. Ever since that episode tonight with Vicki I keep giggling like a kid. And somehow, I don’t think that that’s any bad thing.
- Wenna. A few seconds ago, she was lying with her bum on my bed, her front on my lap, on her back, with her nose pointed at my chin. Every now and then she’d sigh, and I’d get a waft of dog breath. I wouldn’t exchange moments like that for the world.
Things I’ve laughed at today:
- #20. I don’t know what it was, but it was funny whatever it was.
- I love me some Hotfessional snark.
- Giggling at the clock. It runs on batteries, and chimes the hour. Usually it goes bong, but tonight it went ping, and sort of petered out, because the batteries are running out. Little things, eh?
- Giggling at Wenna’s antics.
Things I want to manifest:
- Knowledge on how changing myself will help me change my life - or knowledge on how me changing myself will cause my life to change around me.
Things I’ve done for others:
- I got mom’s magazine with a discount.
- Saved Vicki loads of bits.

Love your new Entrecard “persimmon”! At first, I didn’t recognize you. I revised mine yesterday as well. Much better than the standard issue thing I was using, I think.

Good morning!
Snooze and warm showers are wonderful things, aren’t they?
So, when are we going to see a pic of the Wonderful Wenna?
Have a great day!

Oooh, dry towels. You don’t realize how important this is until there’s nothing around to use but towels that are still slightly damp from the line. Having a CLEAN towel is great, too.

It’s great isn’t it? It only cost me $6, from Datmoney. The guy who did it spent a fair bit of time asking what I wanted, and sorted a few problems out. I highly recommend him.

They surely are! Snooze is one of the most fabulous features on my phone, second only to Gmail. Texting and talking are way down the list.
Pic of Wenna here, video of her here.

That’s a horrible feeling, isn’t it? Touching something cold and clammy next to warm skin, like when the shower curtain wraps round you.

Couldn’t agree more with the dry towels. I had to use a wet one hubby used a few weeks ago, and that was quite unpleasant. So….Redbull eh?

I only like, literally 4 of the songs - Lyin’ Eyes, Take It Easy, Hotel California and Take It To The Limit. But I know each of those songs word perfect. Mostly.

Yeah. I had such a good laugh. I haven’t laughed like that for what seems like years.
