Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 16 April

I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:

  1. A great night’s sleep. I got about 12 hours, which was great. I went to bed at about 12 midnight, and got up at 12 midday, without an alarm clock. And I feel fantastic! :cucumber:
  2. Hot coffee. I cleaned the coffee maker this morning, and had a celebratory cup of coffee.
  3. While watching Loose Women while waiting for the coffee maker to boil, I saw a piece on some very expensive coffee. Basically, the Asian Palm Civet (which is a freaky looking creature) eats coffee beans, and then excretes (yeah, that kind) the seeds. These seeds are collected, and then sold to coffee connoisseurs. Proof that just because something is rare, it doesn’t necessarily follow that it’s worth having.
  4. Wenna, having decided that the throw on my bed is unsuitable, has curled up on my clothes pile. I suppose if she’s happy there, that’s what matters.
  5. Some of the very tasty sweets that Chris got me. It’s about as big as my thumbnail, round, and covered with a sweet citric acid powder, with a chewy centre. They’re very nice.
  6. Lovefilm have sent me the 2nd disk of A Town Called Eureka.
  7. I have the whole week to myself. :chili:
  8. Reading some interesting blogs this morning. Ahem.
  9. This rather inspiring video.
  10. Indoor plumbing.
  11. I have a couple of jobs to do today, which will entertain me for a bit.
  12. I’ve renewed my car insurance quickly and simply. I should get the documents in a few days. And I should earn about £2 off the transaction. And I got a discount because Nat is insured with the same company. :dill:
  13. My ISP issues were resolved very quickly, and I didn’t have to do anything.
  14. Chocolate.
  15. Texting Nit. I haven’t spoken to her in ages.
  16. I’ve been paid back by another $3 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $336 now.
  17. I have a few surveys to do, which should net me a couple of quid.
  18. A nice shower of the perfect length and temperature.
  19. The ambient temperature is good, which means I don’t have to expend energy or money on changing it.
  20. Tasty apple and raspberry juice. I bet it would be nice in a smoothie with a banana.
  21. I have the house to myself today.
  22. I have some money for Chinese food tonight.
  23. I get to choose what I have for tea tonight.
  24. Mom gave me some fuel money.
  25. A delicious Chinese meal.
  26. Watching A Town Called Eureka. I love that show.
  27. That I chose (and choose) life. Suicidal ideations are never a fun thing to experience, or talk about. But in a strange way, I’m glad I had them, and am strong enough to be able to think and talk about them. Coming that close to death really enhances one’s awareness of life.

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. The fact that Lovefilm thinks that Will and Grace is similar to Cranford.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. More awareness of my gratitude.

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Fetched mom and Nat from a relatives.

Nice list. I too am going to work on the awareness of being grateful. It sometimes gets lost in the shuffle.
    Have a great day!

This is absolutely true. It’s so easy to forget it. Even I do, and I’ve been blogging about it for over a year. Thankfully, it’s always there when you go back to it.

Nice to hear from you after such a long silence!
Good to see your day is going well :)

Today I’m grateful for my health, for sunshine after the snow, and for no morning backache! It’s great to be alive.

Yeah, it was lovely catching up with you.

Can you imagine drinking it? I mean, I get that it’s not “dirty”, but still! Drinking a drink made from something that had come out of a cat’s bum just revolts me.

It’s great to be able to sit and savour the cup, rather than using it as a tool to wake up with. So much better.

I love the fact that you would say “bugger”. That’s frightfully upper-class, dahling.

Bob from Expressing Opinions told me about this site some time ago, but this is my first visit.

How wonderful to be aware of what you are grateful for. I think we all need to slow down and do this more often. I am sure to return many times.

Great idea for a blog. I should think of a theme and start one too. You are an inspiration.
