Things I’m Grateful For on Friday 2 May

I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:

  1. A good night’s sleep.
  2. Getting up OK-ish, despite getting less than my requisite 8.5 hours of sleep.
  3. Having something to snack on in my locker at work. :carrot:
  4. Getting news out went very easily indeed - I was done in 2 hours, halfway through the 4 hour shift, so I spent some time loafing about.
  5. Chatting to Dinky. I seem to be having a lot of conversations about money with various people.
  6. Laughing with Lynne, about decorating, and Mandingo. ;)
  7. Safe driving.
  8. Beautiful bright sunshine. I was in the stockroom at work today, which was fairly dark, because I hadn’t turned all the light’s on, and it’s completely windowless, and I went outside and the sun nearly blinded me with it’s brilliance.
  9. I got some free seeds from a magazine.
  10. Free chocolate.
  11. I have the rest of the day to myself.
  12. I was reading How To Win Friends & Influence People last night, and I realised that I have a problem with rude people because I’m judging them, not because they’re rude. They behave in the way they do, and it’s the value I attach to that behaviour that creates the associated feeling. Interesting breakthrough.
  13. Being able to cook. I got in from work hungry, because I’d had no breakfast, and I, without thinking, cooked myself a bacon, mushroom and black pudding sandwich, that I really enjoyed. And then it struck me, that there are people out there who can’t cook. I would go mad living on a diet of prepackaged food. I eat a fair bit of it, to be true, but being able to create something, and then use it in a meaningful way, I think that that’s pretty special.
  14. Playing with Wenna up the garden.
  15. The new blog all seems to be working OK, so here is the url = http://www.randomblatherings.com/blog. There’s not much on there yet, but in the coming weeks, I’ll be featuring interesting posts* from all my favourite bloggers, most of whom are commenter’s here on Things I’m Grateful For, as well as other random blatherings. Feel free to link to it wherever you please. ;) I’m also now available to do meme’s and such, if you want me to. *I’ll be linking to your post, and writing about what I found so amusing/interesting/etc about it.
  16. I have lot’s of stuff to catch up on. I have little tiny job lists scribbled all over the back of an envelope, that I keep erasing and writing over.
  17. A nice afternoon nap. It was a 6AM start today, and you all know how much I just love those.
  18. Getting some stuff listed on ebay. It’s about time I started developing multiple streams of income.
  19. Getting Quoter to work with Wordpress 2.5.1. For some reason, it really likes this theme I’m using, so I moved the relevant file over to Random Blatherings, and hey presto, it’s working over there now.
  20. Some really tasty meatballs and spaghetti. Very nice.
  21. Getting the article posted on Random Blatherings. It’s the list of Entrecard enabled blogs I drop my card on every day. :chili: If you’ve commented here, and you have Entrecard, chances are you’re on it. If you’re not, let me know, and I’ll add you. :)
  22. Working on Entrecard.
  23. Working on the blogs. RandomBlatherings’ theme is now much improved, in subtle shades of grey.
  24. I’ve created myself a job list to do tomorrow.
  25. Dropping 600 Entrecards.
  26. I’ve submitted my sites to a directory that will hopefully accept them, which mill mean I will get more drops.
  27. Being in the zone while fiddling tonight.
  28. I feel really good about money right now.
  29. Realising that we worry when we don’t have [commodity], because prehistoric man was wired to go out and get food when he didn’t have any. It was a survival thing. When he had no food, it had to be foremost in his mind, to make him go and get it, otherwise he’d starve. That’s why when I have no money, I worry about not having any. And when there is an abundance, I feel good. Prehistoric man was probably wired this way to ensure that he stayed near a good food supply. Interesting.
  30. I’ve been paid back by another $4 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $358 now.

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. Laughing with Lynne.
  2. Kelley is on top form again. NSFW.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. 1x article for Random Blatherings. MANIFESTED.
  2. Work out anchor’s. I don’t recall why I wanted this. Oh well.

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Served a few customers.
  2. Worked so Mandy could have a day off.
  3. Gave some stuff to charity.

I define “safe” as not having an accident.

Thank you. I’m sorry it’s a bit spartan at the moment, but I promise it will start filling up soon.

Yep. Some nice Lindt 85% cocoa solids chocolate, and some kids chocolates too. One of the perks of my job.
