Things I’m Grateful For on Wednesday 7 May

I’ve found these things to be grateful for or appreciate today:

  1. Some of my ebay parcels have been delivered! Y’all know how much I love getting post. It’s a couple of DVD’s, and my 3M poster strips, so I can put my posters back up. Since I put that other one up the other day, I’ve realised how much I’ve missed having them up.
  2. A good night’s sleep.
  3. Getting up before 9:30.
  4. Dreaming in the night. To begin with, I dreamt I was at work, and met an old friend who I fell out with a long time ago, wearing a cream long sleeved top, and a long cream dress - J would never wear anything remotely resembling that. And then I was dreaming about dogs that kept turning into pigeons, and chasing one another.
  5. Hot coffee. This is why I believe in god.
  6. I’m not in work until 1PM. Hopefully it will be quiet again.
  7. One of my ruder customers actually said “please” and “thank you” yesterday. Wonders will never cease.
  8. Laughing about Wenna trying to get in the shower.
  9. Having time to myself before work.
  10. Lovefilm have sent me disk 3 of Lark Rise to Candleford. I love this TV show.
  11. Clean sheets on the bed tonight. How nice is it going to be to snuggle into fresh sheets?
  12. I have enough change for the parking meter.
  13. Realising that I don’t have to allow other people to dictate my emotional state. I can surround myself with a bubble, and change my conditioning.
  14. Ettarose (great name!) of Edge of Sanity has added me as part of her link love posting. It’s really interesting how she makes a story out of these blogs.
  15. The toaster in the kitchen. It’s been literally years since I’ve eaten toast, but this morning, I pulled the bottle of milk out of the fridge, and noticed a slug on the inside of it. Not in the milk, thankfully. And I’m so very glad I noticed the situation before I tipped the milk all over my chocolate Weeto’s. So anyway, I ended up having toast with apricot jam this morning, rather than go to work hungry.
  16. I’ve been paid back by another whopping $18 on Kiva.org. I’m up to $378 now.
  17. One of the businesses I lend to on Kiva has paid back in full. I’m going to reinvest the money later.
  18. Safe driving. :cucumber:
  19. I still have over half a tank full of fuel in the car.
  20. Every single customer was nice today. :chili:
  21. Laughing with Dinky.
  22. Eating a sufficiency.
  23. Seeing some sparrows in the bush outside the doors at work.
  24. Eventually getting the Lotto machine running.
  25. A tasty evening meal of meatballs with spaghetti. Very nice! :dill:
  26. My parcel arrived from Ecotopia, and mom is going to give it a go.
  27. Some new speakers I bought off ebay have arrived, and they work fine!
  28. Figuring out a way to solve a lighting problem.
  29. Today’s highlight has to be Wenna with a bottle of water. She loves the hosepipe, and I could tell tonight she wanted to go out and play with it. So I filled a 1L bottle with water, and pierced a hole in the side. She spent a good 15 minutes squeezing the bottle, trying to bite the hole where the water was coming out, which just made it worse. Much hilarity and enjoyment for us both. :broccoli:
  30. More coffee.
  31. Working on the blogs. I seem to spend so much time doing this, it’s a good job I enjoy it.
  32. More hot coffee.

Things I’ve laughed at today:

  1. Wenna trying to get in the shower.
  2. Wenna playing with a bottle of water.

Things I want to manifest:

  1. A simple, quick, easy day at work, with pleasant customers. MANIFESTED.

Things I’ve done for others:

  1. Served lots of customers.

I’m really surprised about Kiva - I remember reading about it (on MeFi, of course), but I was really skeptical. I may have to look into it again!

Thank you. I actually have it pretty easy with this blog, because my topic is the same every day. It’s the behind the scenes stuff that take up the time.

I’ve had complete success with it. Every loan I’ve made has always paid in full. Granted, that’s only 7 loans, but every other loan (14, I think) is paying me back on time every month too.

What a wonderful blog concept! Thank you for making me smile and for pointing out the good things in life.

You’re very welcome. Thank you for the compliment. :)

    Nice post.
It is great to be thankful. :)

    It surely is. :)
