New here?
My name is Solomon Broad, and I’m the author of Things I’m Grateful For.
I started writing this blog back in January of 2007. I wanted to feel better about myself and my life, so I started looking for ways I could make that happen. I read several books, including Wealth 101. Lying in the bath one night, I read a chapter about Gratitude. From that, this blog was born.
I find listing things that I’m grateful for every day to be an excellent way to help me remember and even realise how lucky I am. This leads to good feelings, which in turn leads to a happier, healthier life. On perusing the daily lists, you’ll probably see some things repeatedly. This is because I’m grateful for them repeatedly.
I keep this blog for one reason, primarily - it makes me feel good. I get a warm glow when I realise just how good my day was, or when I look back over the archives and remember something that amused me last March. That said, I do enjoy sharing these thoughts with other people, because it’s nice to share the love. It can sometimes appear that life is nothing but negativity, especially if one watches the 10PM news, and I’d like to think that this blog can be something of an oasis of gratitude in a world that sometimes seems to drag one down.
If you’re interested, why not have a look round the archives? Or maybe join the other subscriber’s to the RSS feed?
I’ve tried hard to make it easy to view the blog, and feedback is always welcome. Simply leave me a comment on this or any other post.
I hope you enjoy your time here.
Solomon.

Hi Solomon,
what a cool site! what a great concept! i found you by doing a blog search on gratitude - I wanted to let you know about my new interactive art project, Thanks Cards:
http://thankscards.blogspot.com
Feel free to peruse the cards, sign up for changes, or send in one yourself. The cards I’ve gotten so far have made me laugh, pause and grin - I hope they do the same for you.
Cheers
